House/Trance clubs in Baltimore?

Hey just moved in from Chicago.

Wondering if there is anything around to attend without driving to NYC or DC (with the gas prices and all).

Also wondering if those are looking for house/prog house DJs... I'm still an amateur but got great track selection.

Let me know where to send the demo if any promoters are on here.

Welp, I've lived just south of B-more for almost three years now... and nope, haven't found anything worthwile in this city yet. However, I go to NYC and DC on a (fairly) regular basis... carpool anyone??

bmore sucks

sorry to tell u this but "charm city" sucks. lived here for 3 years and haven't been too impressed with the music scene at all. find myself going to club five or glow in DC and always to NYC. during the summer there's "Mosaic" which has some house on Thursdays in probably the worst venue (powerplant live), there used to be Ultraworld on saturdays at Sonar (gone now, but believe it or not, Sasha came here 2 years ago), there's goodlove bar in Canton but the music can be "eh." good luck my friend.

sky lounge has deep house
mosaic i have never been to, but i know andy caldwell will be there soon....or was there...?
sonar is gone now??? damn. yeah, steve porter and sasha have been there!

i'd stick to dc...there's glow, five, dragonfly, lima, spank, cubik (closing soon but lawler and digweed are coming up)

EDIT: and once again if anyone is starting some funky house thing somewhere and looking for DJs I'll be here for a while, PM for demo or something.

Just curious why did you move from Chicago to Baltimore?

I live in Baltimore too and BTW I'm also of Russian heritage. I can't figure out why anyone would move here, though Personally, I've been looking for ways to move to Chicago ASAP!! or NYC.

There's nothing in Baltimore -- it's a small blue-collar town where people aren't the worldliest type, to put it mildly. So DC is the place to go on weekends. I have to say though, Thursday nights are more fun in Baltimore for some reason than in DC. Thursdays are college nights and the clubs downtown are packed.

i moved because ultimately i want to be an actor so i've been auditioning in NYC and DC and also at centerstage here etc.

chicago is too musical to make it in theatre for someone like myself/.
