Kick Drums

Hi all.

I have a question about Kick drums. I have been producing for a few years and up to now i have been using sample kits and various kicks i have on file. But none of em seem to be like the kicks used today in trance tracks. Could somone please tell me how i would be able to produce my own kicks or, where i could download them. I like hard hitting kicks with nice high end and low end. This has been puzzling me for a while. Help would be much appreciated.

Scroll down a bit. I posted a brief mock up of how to synthesize a kick drum using a sine wave. You dont need Soundforge to do this. If you have a synth with an LFO that can modulate the pitch of a sine wave oscillator through an envelope then you are in business. The principle is essentially the same.
