Things we could ban

Seeing as our government is enjoying banning anything and everything, I'm getting worried that soon they'll run out of ideas for the next thing they could ban. Being a responsible citizen, I think we should help out our totalitarian government by suggesting things they could ban in the future. The more ridiculous, the better. Armed with this list, I am confident our government can create a utopia that will make the Garden Of Eden look like the lawn behind a trailer home. I'll throw out a few:

- Catchy songs in commercials (I've been unfortunately singing "hand in my pocket" all morning long)
- "Unbroken" baseball caps being pulled over the wearer's eyes (if I can't see your eyes, I assume you're up to no good)
- Talking in restrooms while within a foot of a urinal.
- Sunlight (some people are allergic, and we should ALWAYS cater to the needs of the special, selected few so that they can enjoy the same aspects of life enjoyed by people not stricken with a one in a million allergy)

While I'm not allergic to sunlight, I'm a sufferer of AUTOSOMAL DOMINANT COMPELLING HELIOOPHTHALMIC OUTBURST SYNDROME, or "ACHOO" syndrome, or simply, photic sneezing.

This means that when I go from a shady place to direct sunlight, I sneeze a few times.

I bet you thought it was some horrible disease when you read that name, didn't you? About 23% of people have this.

But back on topic, let's ban these things:

That's a solid list Cale, but I have one correction to make:

How about fastfood in general? Everyone knows it's hazardous for your health, hence, you shouldn't be allowed to consume it.

An on that note, fatness should also be banned (it's harmful for the fat person, and it's not pretty to look at for me).

Single male drivers under the age of 25.
bad drivers.
people who fail to understand that insurance companies traditionally lose money on auto insurance in Ontario and the only reason they write it is because they are forced to

this is so true, that's why you see all companies offer all other types of insurance to cover the loss. If we drivers paid the actual amount to cover the costs your premiums would be almost double.

I do too! Holy crap I never knew I was the sufferer of a rare disease.......but sunlight can stay

1. Reality TV should definitely be banned along with ryan seacrest and donald trump
2. Smelly people (honestly just throw them all in a big bubbly shower....foam party anyone?)
3. Scooters aka mopeds aka liquorcycles
4. Hello Kitty (if I have to experience another airplane flight that is entirely decorated in Hello Kitty I will have to be admitted somewhere)

LOL, never knew that was a disease. I just figured i was sneezing for the hell of it. The things i learn on TA.

Posted by VERTiG0 on Jun-01-2006 18:38:

Well it isn't a disease, its just something that happens. Diseases are detrimental to your health, this is just a little quirk.

I bet it's because we're evolving and our bodies are letting us know to get out of the sun before we get cancer from it. Or maybe not. Yeah, probably not.
