recording question

http://www1.shopping.com/xPO-Creati...ZS_Platinum_Pro

would this external sound card work with a pcv275 mixer for recording a mixed set does anyone know? Or any recommendations for things around 200 and under to record mixes with.

if you're considering creative labs, and want something for less than 200... go to ebay and check out creative labs's store. get an EMU1212

i'm not even gonna bother trying to find out what this card is, or what it does. i know for a fact that EMU is better, because EMU is creative's top brand. soundblaster is junk in comparison.

go with something other than soundblaster...although i'm pretty sure that the card you posted would work.

well im mainly looking for an external card. Otherwise what do you guys think of this cd recorder: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...d=1057490438375

that looks like it would work, don't know about how it is quality wise, but whatever. for external there are probably a lot of options, check out stuff from echo audio. i have one of thier cards, and it worx for me...and of course there is some good motu stuff, although those might get more pricey, i dunno. those are just a few suggestions, now do some research.

*thumbs up* I use an M-Audio external USB soundcard, Audiophile 192, only cost $100 at Guitar Center with a pricematch to Musiciansfriend.com (GC will match ANY price!) Sound quality is excellent especially for that price, has inputs for stereo RCA and stereo TRS 1/4". No internal preamps however, but if you're recording just mixes this is not an issue. very nice build quality as well, have had it for just about a year now with no problems whatsoever.
