Who is Perasma?

In my opinion Swing 2 Harmony is one of the best tunes ever, if not the best.

So I was wondering, why haven't I heard more tunes of this producer? If he is able to produce such a masterpiece, he surely must be able to produce some more decent stuff?

Or perhaps Perasma is some crazy one-time co-op between two producers or something?

Who knows the answer?

Perasma is/are a Greek downtempo/ambient group consisting of Sotiris Noukas, Diana Tsandekidou and earlier also Maria Preka. They officially started in 2001 but had been working together as a hobby since 1996. First official release, "Swing To Swing Fro'" single on Warner in 2001. Maria Preka left the group in 2003.
In 2004 John Con (Yiannis Papakonstantinou) and Nikola Gala (Nick Galatsopoulos) made a proggier take of the downtempo piece "Swing To Swing Fro'" and turned it into "Swing 2 Harmony" for the clubland which got soon after signed to several labels worldwide. Con and Gala don't relate to the group Perasma in any other way besides remaking the one song. In 2006 Perasma are recording new material and heading for a live tour.

Wow I never knew that. So what you're saying is that if it weren't for Nikola Gala & John Con, Perasma wouldn't be as popular as they are today in the clubland world, that is.

Yep. The track titling for their remake originally was 'John Con vs. Nikola Gala feat. Perasma - Swing 2 Harmony' which features on some 2004 compilations before the track got released as a single but for some reason was shortened just to Perasma - Swing 2 Harmony for the singles even if John Con and Nikola Gala arent't involved in the group. Pretty confusing so no wonder alot of people think Con and Gala = Perasma.

i knew some how perasma was the singer...but why didnt it called John Con & Nikola Gala ft perasma? mybe john didnt mind not having his name in the song...
