Beatmatching with ableton

I tried to beatmatch with ableton and the warping works just fine.
But now I want incoming track to reach it's original bpm and I try to automate but I can't change the value to the exact BPM of the track.
Also I would like to know if there is a possibilty to loop more then one point for a track...
Should I use two different audio tracks to loop two points?

Thanks,
Omer.

Douuble click the tempo on the top left corner and type in the original tempo. Copy the track and just trim the copy to the size of the loop you want, there's your loop, then you can make as many different loops as you want.

What? I don't want to change it at once. I want to automate the tempo so it'll slowly raise to the cued track's tempo.

Omer.

Go to the song tempo track in your master track and automate the tempo by drawing in the new tempo changes.

All of the answers are on the manual that came with it!

well but it doesn't automate to the exact bpm.
And also when I changed the min/max tempo (just to mix between two tracks) then it trainwerked.

@IKKI-ZUVK: Their tutorial is not enough for me.
It doesn't explain how to exactly raise the bpm to the point I want.
I know how to automate... I just need to paste the exact bpm.

Should I change the bpm druing the mix? maybe I'm not doing something right...

Omer

It should never trainwreck, u must be doing something wrong! RTFM (Read The F*cking Manual), not just the tutorials.

Put Ableton in "MIDI Assign " mode and apply a knob or slider from your MIDI controller to the tempo.
And if you have your tracks warped correctly and are triggering your clips on time.. it should loop/play infinityl with never getting off sync.
I prefer my global quantization set to 1/32.

I don't have a midi controller.
I need to know how to change the automation's value of one dot to an exact value...

RTFM!

i don't think its possible if i understand you right. bpms of tracks are too finite to beatmatch into without having them locked in the first place. why don't you warp them both while taking note of the original bpm of that certain track. then just automate the master tempo to get match original song bpm when it starts in the mix.

this video might help

You're trying to do the impossible if you're playing Live.

1) You can't automate something the tempo unless you do it, pause, then play again.

2) No. You can't loop in two different places at the same time.
