We all talk about these Dj's who are above and beyond the others but nobody ever explains why...in other words if we're gonna call someone a Trance God then they have to meet a set of rules, this is what makes them a God...so i think we should create a list of traits that a DJ must meet before they become a GOD..for example..(I think since swamper gave us a voring feature we could vote on the prerequisites)
A trance God Must:
1. Be able to take Lame ass songs and make them into "anthems"
ex: Airscape took the vengaboys song Kiss(lame)and made it into a great uplifting tune..
Once we lay down the rules then we can reliably back up our trance god claims...
Mizzzzzz
These people are trance gods:
Ferry Corsten ,classical to trance, William Orbit's- Samuel barber's Adagio for Strings And Maurice Ravel - Pavane pour une Infante Dfunte .
Rank 1 ,R&B to trance, Baby-D - Let me be your fantasy.

#2 to be a trance god you also need to continually come with dope new mixes. not playing the same tracks all the time! suprises are always the best!
lol hey! i thought i was a trancegod.. lol.. jk
ummm Pavane pour une Enfante Defunte.
well.. pavane.. to my knowledge is a classical genre..
such that as concerto or whatever..
pour une Enfante..
tho my french ain't good.. that means
for a child???
Defunte i have no idea..
so its... "song for a .... child??
PVD is God!
Besides Tiesto, No other DJ has produced sooo many Amazing tracks that are considered classics today.
Rendevous, Love Stimulation, Forbidden Fruit, For An Angel, Another Way, Avenue, Out There & Back, Face to Face, Together We will Conquer & countless remixes: Remember, Blue Skies, 1998, Age of Love, L'esperanza, Always remember to respect & honor, 10 in 1.
I would call a trance god a producer who hasnt released a bad track ever... or if he has its never been heard by anyone but himself
James Holden
Rank 1
Tiesto
Ferry Corsten
Humate

true man, i forgot about them... nick warren fuckin rules. and oliver lieb...
peace
um
I agree w/ur theory but
Rank 1's black snow isn't that great.
& Corsten's soul on a soul is cheesy.
Black Snow is quality..
the foundation-stone for airwave..
if n e thing.. the ARGUABLE track is Citrus Juicer..
but rank 1 is top class
Soul on Soul... ah...
well that depends how u look at it..
a lot of ppl would tend to say thats a good track..
Ok guys who has the potential to become a trance god?
Mizzz
potential to become a trancegod?? hehe any of us??
ummm
in realism.. err.. i would say someone like...
James Holden??
i dunno.. someone young.. underrated, etc...
Ok but why? What does he have that makes him a candidate?
Mizz
why? his productions are immaculate..
hasn't released a bad track yet i don't think.. nor has he done a bad remix..
he's like 20 rite now.. still @ uni.
ppl like sasha and co. worship him quite a bit.. etc.
Yeah James Holden has huge potential, and so has max graham now he's got a regular choone makin thang goin on
took a while...
Peace
I think the big trance god will be Armin Van Buuren, yes I know everyone knows him, whos into trance, but he'll be even bigger in the future, I hope
I think of DJ Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and Armin Van Buuren as trance gods.
As for taking a shit track and making it sound good, I'd say Trouser Enthusiasts are the best for that. For example they took Dannii Minogue's song "All I Wanna Do" (which was pretty bad) and turned it into a storming vocal trance track! This was one of my fave tunes of 97 and one of my all time favourite remixes. Here's some more shit tracks that have been remixed to make them sound good:
Ayumi Hamasaki "Whatever" (Ferry Corsten Mix) - Pop to trance
Gina G "Ti Amo" (Trouser Enthusiasts Mix) - Pop to trance
Erasure "Freedom" (Quake Remake) - Pop to trance
Anggun "Snow On The Sahara" (Trouser Enthusiasts Mix) - R&B to trance
What bout Matt Darey? His remixes are never bad and always good. He also did some bad tracks to trance:
1. Gabrielle - Rise; pop to trance
2. Moloko - time is now; techno to trance
His Euphoria cds are always good too. he should be in the top
lol.Moloko = techno?? *dies* lol.. noooooo way man... moloko is about as technoey as britney spears is trance.. =p

lol, what is moloko then? raggae?
lol is house to me..
pure house...
but definitely not techno..
u heard the song moloko - TIme is Now right???
hehe.. now listen to.. ummm lets say..
something by Dave Angel..
then ya decide which one is techno =p
unless of course theres a moloko remix i don't know..
Uhm Amigo's,
we forgot someone very important;
>>>Armin van Buuren<<<
If he isn't calculated under the trance gods he certainly has potential!
uhh amigo .. top of the page ^
