Pictures from Barcode -- June 3rd, 2006

well i decided to make the trek out to hamilton last night for the grand opening of Barcode. this is the venue that was formerly known as Lush. they added new wood flooring, some pretty pimp vip booths, new lighting, fixed up the patio a little bit and now you have access to the bar from the back vip area near the dj booth. oh, and the dj was changed a bit as well. walked in around 1am with mister manzone and we were impressed. lots of people dancing and lots of women! holy shit, i think there must've been 2 girls for every guy at that time.

maxx did a very nice job opening the night and getting the people warmed up for joe. at first i thought the crowd was a very mainstream/commercial crowd because they were cheering for madonna's 'hung up' but when joe started getting dark and dirty for the second half of his set, the people were loving it! i guess i was wrong about them. carlo lio's production titled 'everybody' was played too. i get tingles down my spine (and pants) when i hear that track.

there were some very sexy ladies. i didnt expect that when i was driving there because i passed hess village on the way and thought all the sexy ladies wouldve been there. and were the men sexy? i dont fucking know. i'll let the women be the judge to that. and the people were very friendly. also met a few new ta's but i dont remember their names (sorry!).

i was also handed a promo mix by a lady (and very cute too) by the name of dj recklessgirl. started listening to it when i woke up and im still listening to it now. i am very impressed with it. her myspace is http://www.myspace.com/djrecklessgirl. not sure if she has a copy of this mix available for download but it is worth a listen.

and joe will be handling the docks this afternoon
those boys had a really busy week.

to bad its a crap day for the first patio at the docks. i'm looking forward to hitting one of those this summer. Free house music on the toronto waterfront, can't beat that!

didnt snap many pics last night due to being tired.
when i saw bojanna on the patio i was thinking 'what are you doing all the way up here in hamilton? didnt i get pictures of you already last night?' lol
her and her bf seem very cool though.
im surprised that you were able to recognize me without my hat. some of my friends even have trouble recognizing me when i dont wear a hat.

the weather isnt the greatest but its better than nothing.
gotta show up and pay my respects to mystery & dynamite.. take some pics if possible.
i just feel so lazy right now. im working in slow motion due to lack of sleep.

Haha, the group of us are always doin the trip to TO and back for the most part we all live in hamilton, or close to.

We had a blast, they've really fixed up the place nicely, has some definate potential now.

It's Mariann.... we met briefly on the patio! I knew I had met you before (at the Drink).... but didn't put 2 and 2 together... now I know that you are the guy that takes all the pictures at EVERY party!!!

i was gonna say "maybe from ta?" but i didnt want to sound like a dork with the following line "im chinamon. whats your alias?"
