ditched work

i was hard at work today at iCompUSA and it seems now the cashiers have to do the work of the merchaniders and fucking restock shit and make shelves and tags and shit.
well, they give me this book and say "this is your aisle. do it."
So i'm dumbfounded cus i don't know what the book is for or what i'm doing. So i just straighten up the aisle and then Cindy comes up to me and says, "oh man, u got the shittiest aisle. everyone else has to straighten. you have to take everything down and reorganize it according to the plannogram."
So i'm just like shit. I got 6 hours to tear down and build 5 walls and I don't even know what i'm doing. So i'm doing it, right, and i'm at like hour 4 when my friend Greg #2 (another cashier) comes to help me. So we're getting down and dirty right. 5 hours and we're not even halfway done.
So hour 5.5 and then Jorge, the boss comes by to check up and he's like "shit! u guys gonna finish this today!" I go "wtf man, 5 walls to tear down, build up and i was ONLY assigned this BY my mother fucking self."
"Well fuck man, it's my ass if bill (GM) walks in tomorrow and sees this whole fucking void here. AND WTF. These shelves are off by (get this) 1 FUCKING PEG!
I was like "wtf man, i don't even know how to read this plannogram. if the shit fits, then it fits man."
and then he starts pissing and giddying about Bill and his ass how its not going to be his fault. and he leaves.
He left with that I was supposed to tag every i already had and to fill the void with any shit i wanted to.
I didn't and i went home.

fucking ******. Wtf man, i should've had like 2 other people helping me throughout. and fucking hell man, 4 people are assigned to do mice and keyboard, and that's not even 1 full aisle. fucking dicks man!

You were blessed at birth with a right mixture of stupidity and incompetence. You better do what Jorge tells you because by the looks of it, you'll be working under him for a long time.

I thought you were running away to Mexico and/or enrolling yourself in a psychiatric ward?

Reminds me of my old job at the laser tag. Games lasted 15 minutes, and were scheduled every 15 minutes. At that rate we need a minimum of 4 staff; 2 to run the game and get everybody out fast enough for the next group to come in, 1 to start briefings while the previous game was still running to save time, and 1 to welcome new clients at the counter. On a good day, we had 3 employees, and mostly just two (especially during big rushes when we needed them the most but they just shipped them to other departements for the most idiotic reasons). We had to either rip people off by secretly cutting their game time or cause huge delay pilups that could ammount to several hours by the end of the day, which meant that about 50-100 people everyday would pay, not be able to play in time due to delays, and then we'd have huge lineups of pissed off clients bitching a us, and filing complaints against us!

LOL I remember when you quit that job. The stories about people breaking their arms playing laser tag were great

this story is just as hilarious as the way it was written

attempted is the right word

i was wondering. if i read the Fruity Loops Bible back and forth and memorize it, can I be as rich and famous as mr mystery and not worry about bosses and what to tell girls what my job is? I mean, Mr Mystery can't possibly be working at JC Penny or something, rite?

Retail, worst fucking jobs...most of them require drug tests yet I firmly believe you have to be ON drugs in order to stay sane at them.
