Eurodance compilations?

Eurodance was the first real electronic/club/rave music I ever listened to... that was like 10 or years ago.

So, as of late, I've been listening to a little bit, mainly from the mid to late 90's, for the reminiscence, you could say.

Since I don't own really much of anything, I'd like to get a few decent compilations. One of my favorite tracks is YBZ - Now That I Found You, or Roses Are Red by Aqua. I don't like things like Everytime We Touch by Cascada, for that end of things.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for compelations, that have the old classic 90's rave feel to them? And no happy hardcore

Oh, man. There were TONS back in the early 90s, usually named "Mega Dance Techno Hits '94" or something.

Chris Sheppard's Pirate Radio Sessions series was good for this stuff. Also the DJ Line series, and the Club Cutz series (up to #7, IMO).

Canada's own Dance Mix '9x series was also ace, although it went to shit when they changed it to MuchDance '9x/200x.

Yeah, I know there are a hell of a lot of compilations out there, I'm just hesistant to buy one because for one, I've never heard of any of the artists on it, and two, there are a lot of shitty compelations out there nowadays.

That's why I'm looking for reccomendations.

rigoler compilations should do the trick.. otherwise, if you want to put out some money on shipping, but get cheap cds, you should check ebay.se for mr music hits compilations. these are cds everyone got monthly during the 90s, and now everyone wants to get rid of them.

there's also tradera.com, another swedish auction site where you can switch the lang to english. on here, sellers often sell to international bidders.

well it depends on what kind of eurodance you like.. rebel9 just posted a great mix right there. The dj line volumes from montreal (canada had many famous eurodance acts) are incredible as well, the start off italo disco and go on towards true eurodance.

Great megamixers to look for are:

Ben liebrand (he megamixes everything)
Dj bourg
Unity mixers (dance computer volumes)
Deep dance volumes

eurodance is traditionally megamixed cause the tracks really dont progress, the just shift from one melody to the next (in most cases) so its appropriate.

edit you'll be safe from anything from 1992 - 1996

www.eurodancehits.net had a buttload of reviews for these types of compilations

The Rigoler Series is good. If you want some DJ mixes, I have found the Euro Adreneline series good, esp. vols 1-2. Other mixes include Super Dance Explosion series, and the Ski Mix series, done by DJ Markski who had a radio show in Chicago for about 8 years.

Haven't bought any Euro in years, but www.markski.com, which is a store in Chicago used to have many of these titles. Not sure if they would still have 90's in stock.
