Sick of the usual suspects
Come on in and give your opinion on the subject.
I find that I get so bored of the "usual" trance tracks these days. Now Im find my self looking more and more towards progressive and house sounds. But who to listen to.
Please post your recommendations on who to check out and which sets or productions to listen to.
Cheers
sets or productions?
Sander Kleinenberg and Sasha of old for all things progressive.
Yup, been heading more to the breaks scene these days.
Such a fresh sound! Such enthusiasm!
With sounds from people like the shiloh brothers i can see why
sander kleinenberg, danny howells, paolo mojo, king unique, slacker, and for something a little different try andrea doria
orko
check out pacjam-skattered if you like breaks
progressive house....hell I did'nt realize they made anything good anymore because I never really listened to many sets, I have in the last 4 weeks and I've missed nothing. Minimal Tech house and boring minimal electro, with no nastiness is sweeping clubland. Hell even PvD's Colourfest set was awful.....ffs....what's happening...first Digweed plays shite, now PvD....

Listen to J00f to start with.
Also try stuff like Son Kite, Jaia, Atmos, Antix, NASA and other artists like that. Progpsy stuff is what you need.
Hernan Cattaneo is what you need. At least that was what did it for me when i got sick of the "usual" trance tracks and more in to progressive house. Just try out any of his mix cds.
Renaissance Presents Sequential Mixed By Hernan Cattaneo
Renaissance The Master Series Volume 2 Mixed by Hernan Cattaneo
Perfecto Presents Hernan Cattaneo - South America

G-Pal and Hernan Cattaneo are my fav artists atm.
Danny Howells!
techno! i seem to be more and more into techno these days. the problem is i just don't know very much techno that i like. i enjoyed dj preach's latest mix compilation and valentino kanzyani's too. brilliant stuff!
and i'd like to say +1 to hernan cattaneo also. the man is brilliant. his sets are so good.
