SATURDAY, July 22, 2006 beginning
3pm . 3am >> Shift 2

This event is a joint production put on by your friends as a celebration of music and local DJ talent in a gorgeous outdoor location. If you were in attendance last year then you'll recall crowds of smiling and dancing people as they ventured between the two party sites fueling the night with their energetic vibes till the early morning hours. We invite you to start your day at 3pm. Come early, meet new people, soak up the sunshine and feel your energy levels elevate as you absorb the extraordinary beats throughout the day and into the evening. The DJ's have been carefully chosen each bringing his/her own unique vibe to the decks. As a collective, they will take you on a musical trip guaranteed to put a bigphat smile on your face and wear out the treads on your sneaks.

Bring clothes appropriate for the weather as the days are warm, the nights much cooler since we're down by the lake. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs, food to munch on, water, mosquito repellents, sunscreen AND toilet paper. Vendors and washrooms are on site but close up in the evening. After that, it is au natural...BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER and flashlight.

This is a public space which will be in use the next day by the public. We ask that you respect the area - PLEASE plan on leaving NO TRACE. This means (and we cannot stress this enough), that you take out your garbage including empty bottles with you or, at least deposit in the park garbage cans provided. We are asking that you utilize a no-open bottle policy - please bring cups and we'll try to provide some as well.

As an addition to your own supply, bottles of water will be available on site.
See the attached flyer for list of DJ's and set times. Plan to see All the DJ's - everyone appreciates an audience to play for!

Unfortunately, there is no rain-plan. Check the TA/TRIBE sites for updates if it should happen to rain in the morning.

We monitoring the weather right now (8am)....still not discouraged though!

Just checked....chance of a thunderstorm but its only the remnant of that big Beryl storm. Mostly overcast (you can still tan through clouds though...a little bit of positivity for the sun-lovers), and as the weather guy said "just spits and spurts, if we do see rain at all". Think we're still gonna go ahead sooooooooo, OVERCOME the GLOOMY GUS in you and get out to the Beach!

Forget about the clouds - just think, less beach-goers = more fun for the partyers!

Bring an umbrella or even better, a tarp if you have one. If it does rain, its approx. 1mm accumulation. Thats nothing! Grab a sweatshirt too...

WE are leaving now and setting up a tarp shanty town so that our lovely little groovers can dance rain-free. ITs cleared up on our end, so cross your fingers, eyes etc...and keep the rain away from CB!
