New Mix! DaveT - Emotions (A Day in the Life of)

Yeppers, new mix! I'm a bit happy with this one. Dunno why. I just feel the music, TEEHEE. It sorta represents the pace of my life in a day. Start of having to rush, things pick up more, and then once I am home in the evening things start to settle way down and finally get to a sensable level.

Whack tracklist with a whack tempo (135 --> 142 --> 127)

Mixed not doing any previews/cues. I just hoped the beats would match up when I let it go in Ableton and that I blindly cued it properly. Pretty happy overall. Mix into Gouryella is rushed (although it sounds somewhat smooth) because I was talking to Rich (lex400sc) on AIM and go distracted, lol.

Feedback please. Not going to publish the tracklist right now. The majority of the tracks are ones I have not used in a mix before. Also, note that the first track is unfinished and very unmastered. It's by a local producer around here.

Downloading ... slow-arse coffee-shop connection . If I had stayed on-campus to study this would have been done by now! Wait... I'm not studying... I'll let you know what I think ;D

Gouryella - I already like it, Dave.

DL'ing as I type.

Been wanting to throw Gouryella - Gouryella in a mix for awhile now....it just goes with the wackiness of the set. Everything from Timo Maas to Oliver Lieb to Gouryella to the Flash Brothers.

Woo! I can't wait!

You're up on the playlist after Ferry Corsten at Nature One 7 31 2004 ... racking my brain trying to figure out what one of these tracks is... having a brain fart because it's a popular song and I know I have like 3 other versions of it, too *argh*

nice mix, dunno much about live 5 but can you deconstruct tracks to isolate and mix in elements of a song or does that require a master? some of the transitions could be mixed in tighter like funk battery->massive passive, but maybe that takes way too much time

Think that's done using loops a lot of the time. Other times a DJ will recieve all the parts of a track from a producer and can do some funky live mixing and remixing (which was what BT's Laptop Symphony was all about, at least at one point). I just record my set within ableton as a project and if you enable/disable a loop that's setup, it's stupid and basically acts as if you stopped the track in the recording and stops recording the track the second you turn the loop off or on.

Massive Passive has like no intro to lead into.

I have replaced the original mp3 with one that is quite a bit louder.

I didn't realize the volume was so low overall, so bumped it up!

I dig it. I just kinda let it go in the background while I was studying for my first final. You, my friend, helped me get an A with your inspirational beats . Feel proud.
