Loss of Natural Teeth by State

I'm not sure how political this is, but it does coincide with some stereotypes we have about US states. Actually, the results seem to perpetuate those stereotypes.

Below is the percentage of individuals over 65 who have had ALL of their natural teeth extracted.

Well, I might be reading into the description of the statistics too much, but it says those over 65 who have had their teeth "extracted." That seems like it was done in a professional manner, via a dentist or orthodontist. I'm not sure if people who have "extracted" their own teeth, via letting them rot out count on the list or not.

I would assume most people that have had all their teeth rot out by that age or pulled them on their own have probably never seen a dentist, and probably don't cout towards that list.
