Talking Skydiving - TA Skydiving Trip July 15th 2006 ! ! Weeeee

I have realized that most of my decisions in life are based on adrenaline. I am a junkie. I love the rush.

So I am planning a skydiving trip in July (14-16?) in Niagara Falls.

Anyone who wants to join in on the fun is welcome as well... maybe we can get a better rate... Just PM me.

My thought is to go tandum; then you can free fall for longer and I think this would be a good starting point, rather than being completely reliant on myself to pull the chute.

Has anyone been before and can share your experiences?

I want this trip to be amazing!

CONFIRMED JUMPERS!!!

Killah Monkey + 8
Superstring
HypnotEyez
Playa 24_7
Oreo the cookie + 2

I think I would be WAY too terrified to go...let alone pull the cord. If I went by myself I would honestly die.

It's funny cause I planned on going weeks ago... trip is almost certain the weekend of July 14th or the friday... but nothing set in stone yet.

And it is totally something that I want to do.

Larissa... come with us! The more people, the more of an experience it will be.

You will love it! love it love it love it....

Just close your eyes when you are about to jump and think that you are sitting on a motorcycle going at 200mph

Hmmm...thinking a solo jump might be the better way to go...

requires 5 hrs of ground training... will be a whole day event...

thoughts?

Does not sound appealing to me either!

Good luck to all of you. Couple of my friends went, and my mother was a skydiver for years. They all have absolutely fantastic stories, and the rush is just unreal apparently. I've been meaning to go for years, but have never found the time.

How much, approximately, does the whole thing cost?

Posted by MaxTO on Jun-07-2006 15:18:

I've done a few static lince/solo jumps...not bad, but lack of freefall doesn't give that same rush as the first time

The PFF jump looks nice, but pricey...If it was my first time, I'd probably go for the tandem, but either way, it will be fun

Must be....

-under 230 lbs
-18 years or older
-able to make decisions in high stress situations

Will cost around $200 with taxes...

The solo jump has assisted chute deployment, so it opens when you jump from the plane. You only free fall for 3 sec, but those are gonna be 3 long seconds.... lol.

I think I would prefer this experience rather than being strapped to someone. lol

Just one jump...

Can I add you to the list of prospective people?

Might need a $50 deposit

Posted by Jem_hadar on Jun-07-2006 15:39:

My buddy Mac and his gf at the time Tara did it.

And Tara is a scared shitless of anything exilerating... so if she could make herslef do it...

They had an assisted jump I guess... they were strapped in w/ a someone.

Both fucking loved it so much. The videos of their jump are priceless!

Still fun to watch when we drink!

I'm going to Skydive Toronto (http://www.skydivetoronto.com/) next weekend. It worked out to be $1900 for 9 people, with training in the morning and two jumps at the end of the day. I will let you guys know how it goes.

Posted by 5hiftn6ears on Jun-07-2006 15:53:

I'll go, as long as we're jumping over a big pillow...and we battle on the way down
