you should've seen all the stuff i brought back the last two times i went to the states...

march 2005 when i went to chicago for the ASI show...

and fall 2005 when i went to buffalo for no reason and decided to drive to PA for fireworks...

i still have some of it left but i need more.
i always like to have a nice supply of fireworks...

Then you should post this in the Michigan forum.

Just wondering (seeing that I'm no fireworks connaisseur)- are those fireworks that aren't available here? I swear, I've never seen so many fireworks places as there are here...

whats good about them? they are bottle rockets and firecrackers!! the best to play with if you're a pyro like myself.

as for legality, it is illegal to import *any* firework from outside of canada (as a consumer). all consumer fireworks must be purchased within canada. technically it is even illegal to import sparklers from outside canada according to the law. anything purchased in canada has been approved by the government. you could apply for an importing license but there are restrictions with that too.

Posted by geroin on Jun-09-2006 09:21:

so how would any person be able to bring that shit into the country, especially with all those terrorist threats now?
i love fireworks though, the best entertainment ever, firecrackers even better, too bad they are illegal here

Due to a hazardous incident as a child involving something along the lines of bottle rockets, I am gunshy about anything explosive being within a few feet of me - even the camp stoves we light for customers at REI make me queasy.

Sadly, no fireworks smuggling operation here - but I do smuggle a mean Bath N Body Works hand soap.....

god i'd be down, i could even go to indiana to get you the gooooood shit. But it'd have to be taxed to all hell for the smuggling issue, gas money, etc... plus I wont be back til the 15th for zabiela. its possible though.

Posted by iliketrance on Jun-09-2006 17:57:

where do you buy them in the states

yeah i went to a place in indiana called sheltons fireworks. they had awesome prices but phantom fireworks at the MI/OH border is a lot closer for someone that lives in detroit. an american visiting canada will have an easier time getting stuff through the border than a canadian returning in to canada which is why i am asking.

paying for your gas and time is not a problem though. but expect about a $100-150USD order of fireworks. lol

i might be going to buffalo soon...is there a good place in buffalo to buy them

the closest place to buffalo is at the PA/NY border in a small town called Northeast, PA. it is about 1-1.5 hour drive west of buffalo.

phantom fireworks

they have a coupon that you can print that will give you buy one get one free special on any item in the store. and dont plan on buying all your fireworks from them when you're there. there is another place across the street that has some items cheaper than phantom fireworks. when i went last year, this other place had World Class (thats the name of the brand) firecrackers, half brick, buy one get two free. it ended up being a better deal than the one i got at phantom 10 minutes earlier when i bought thunderbomb full brick buy one get one free. so i ended up with a lot of shit to bring home. lol

there is a atm/convience store at the corner of yonge and wellsley that sells them. they are illegal to bring over the border buddy - think a little! the store is adjacent to Not just Noodles!

now with this whole bomb ploted for Toronto, I think the holder, trying to "hide" such explosive would most likly go to Jail!

it helps when i dont look like a terrorist.

and does this place on yonge sell firecrackers and bottle rockets?
if they do then they must charge an arm and a leg.
$3 per pack of bottle rockets in toronto when you can buy 12 packs for that price in the states.

why don't you just go to Buffalo and post a thread when you return how yu did. As for the store with fireworks, just go and investigate yourself - sorry - all i know is they have a lot of them in the store! if it ever caught on fire it would be a pure shit show~!

good luck with your desire!

p.s. a terrorist can be anyone, don't ever think that "I don't look like a terrorist"

for example, A rapist can be anyone that may not even "look" like a rapist.

A murderer could be the guy next door that didn't look like a murderer.

that's all!

Posted by dallastar on Jun-10-2006 01:16:

p.s. china mon - don't le tthis happen lmao still
