Looking for certain music style
I'm looking for recommendations. I'm looking for songs that start slow with a mellow ethereal/ambient feel to it, and grows more powerfull and ends with great power then falls off into ambience again. I know it sounds weird explaining it, but maybe some of you know what I mean. The best example I can give is Ed Van Fleet's "Children of the Clouds". If you know that track then cool, you'll know what I'm talking about. I really like this style and I'd like to find more like it. I guess you could say that I'm looking for either new age, trance, or chill, doesn't really matter cuz I'll try anything. Just start throwing out songs that come to mind and I'll check them out.
Maybe Shiloh-Dream On
Digital Witchcraft - Fingerpaint comes to mind...starts off slow and keeps building up.
Ulrich Schnauss - Nobodys Home
Omicron - Tranquility Bass [1994]
hey, thanks for the fast replies, but I'm looking for more of a build in power, like "wow" type power. I've uploaded Ed Van Fleet's "Children of the Clouds" to my putfile as a reference. Now, this is more or less New Age so maybe this isn't the place to ask, but I woulnd't mind if I could find some trance songs like this. But by all means, keep throwing out stuff, thanks for all the help by the way.

Many songs around the 1990-1996 era had that type of format. The one song though that comes from the top of my head (and it fits your description perfectly) is
Vernon - Wonderer

That format requirement is pretty specific. Might be hard to find stuff that fits it. In fact, I can only think of one, and it's not electronic.
Godspeed You Black Emperor! - Moya
Let me know what you think of it though, provided you have some tolerance for instrumental rock. If you like it, I'd recommend most any GYBE! songs because they like that "silence to violence" approach.
ummm...Stairway to Heaven?

Here is another song that sort of fits your description. Only thing is that this song is a Driving ProgPsy song.
Human Blue - Harmonix
OOOOOOOoooooooo another one!
Jens - Loops n tings
Nico - Field Of Vision
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Armin Van Buuren Mix) FTW!!
haha.. such crazy days those were.. remember when Armin actually made huge tracks that would go down as great classics?
if u liked that one Sigur Ros track then get the rest of the Takk album. Also get the M83 - Before The Dawn Heals Us album, you should like a large part of that
Secede feat. Kettel - Leraine
The whole song is based on elements you were referring to
Live - Lightning Crashes
no, seriously.
