Rise of Minimalistic Prog
I've noticed a lot of DJ's are getting away music with tons of layers and are tending to be more minimal. Just listened to the recent Sasha sets and spot this trend this I have been updating his archive. Any thoughts?

Electric Country & Western mixed with polka.
next trend is going to be.... trance.
minimal+prog is likely to be a completely disastrous combination. especially if they combine the most boring elements of both
like, take your usual minimal techno percussion. make it last 10 minutes. add only pads on top and "advanced production techniques". call it a finished track.
make a set only of that stuff

| Originally posted by Allied Nations Electro clash had a bout in 2003 ish. There was a lot of shit clash and some proper electro that came out it. I doubt it will come back again so soon, most of it sounded like ass tbh, and it will never sound as good as it did in the 80s. If anything I think/hope that anything electro goes out of style for a bit- give everyone a breather. Except Alden Tyrell, I like him. |
