Let's just say I am not a really fan of the "harder" stuff anymore.. But Last night Sander made me fall in love with it again.

Once he got on the decks it was pretty much non Stop Dancing. He played some major get your ass to dance tunage. I think I lost 5lbs!

The only time I left the dance floor was to get water and when he played SOS( GAG GAG DIE TRACK DIE) But other then that he kicked serious ASS! I had soooo much fun on the Dance Floor. I just wished he got to play untill 4!

I feel Sander Van Doorn is the next big dj in the scence.
I hope Spundae brings him back again soon.

I've been telling Spundae that, several times a week, for the past six months. Too the point I'm sure Founder is sick of me talking about him, lol.

How was the crowd? Obviously important!!!

Seemed about the same size as the Markus event a month ago or so. Though I was to busy dancing to really look that closely.

It was good enough space to dance while it still feeling crowded etc ("the new areas" were relatively empty though)

did the original thread get deleted somehow? cause i posted a review earlier and its not around anymore. well anyways i dont remember what i put up but i gotta say. was fucking awesome.

dave as you said he is like your best friend when it comes to him being down to talking to people. after his set a few of us were just hanging out talking to him on the patio for about 1.5hrs. was soo cool. hes so down to earth. i cant wait for him to come back. he saw my shirt and said wow you got a lot of people signing this. he signed it of course.

this guy has so much energy. and he didnt even appear to be jet lagged at all.

awesome night. saw lots of tas. michelle, chris, kris, bjorn, jamie, stephen, junior chavez, bob, carrie (was nice to meet ya), riia, and some others i know im forgetting.

next time this guy is back in town i am there! he also had something to say about the la crowd. we asked how the other gigs went and he replied with, "the crowd here in la has been the best. everyone was much more into the music than any of the other places." says a lot.

Alright, I just got home from work not even 2 minutes ago and here I am posting on TA SO WHAT!!!!

I got to Spundae around 10:15 pm and found it empty! Cody Lee was dropping a darker, techy set to lead into SvD. I have seen Cody Lee three times and he has always done a great job. I really liked how he was into his set, jumping up and down and dancing around, it got me pumped up and ready for SvD. The last 4 tracks Cody played were banging!!! They flowed into Svd perfectly, there couldn't have been a better opener. Great job Cody!

SvD took over promptly at Midnight and wasted no time with any filler tracks to build himself up (once again, thanks to Cody) I can't ID his first track but I know it from an Identity Mix. SvD was totally into his set from the moment he touched the mixer. He started his set off on the techy side and built from there. I would say that his set was 40% SvD productions or some sort of SvD edit. I really liked his mixing, it wasn't the robotic mixing that we have all become accustomed to, it was different. He would lock up his tracks and then kind of drop them into each other rather than mix them. I wathced him "mix" a few tracks and he is very very active on the EQ's. The structure of his set was spot on IMO, he started out techy then went into a very bass driven section and then finally into a banging end at 136 bpm. I loved every moment of it, I didn't even get upset when he dropped SOS, it's his bootleg so his is allowed to play it!!!! plus if you ignore the vocals the track has a great bassline. The track of the night for me was Ronald van Gelderen - This Way. SvD had a huge smile the entire set and you could see that he was really enjoying it. I danced up a storm and loved it! After his set I caught him in the middle of a photo session with a few TA's, shook his hand and thanked him for an amazing set. Later on in the night I caught up with him outside and chatted it up with him and a few TA's. Dave, you were right, this guy is a class act. He was so down to earth and genuinely listened to what we had to say. He was very polite and actually engaged in the conversation rather than just listen and let it go in one ear and out the other.

I will add more to this review after I sleep a bit. SvD + No sleep at all + work ='s brain dead.
