HappyHappy The OST must-hear thread

k so since the subject of fav albums is already goin on, how bout favourite original soundtrack compilations?

Note: this is strictly in relation to the OST sold in the store and not based on songs "featured" in the movie (ie. the songs could be played in the movie but they still dont qualify to be part of the OST therefore ur judgement should be based on the actual CD)

heres a few I like (will add later):
Matrix
X-Files: the movie
Garden State
Forrest Gump ( all them lovely oldies...great american classics cd)
Batman & Robin (this was SERIOUSLY a good compilation)

more to come...

So original scores would qualify or is it just compilations?

Some original scores I fancy:

Air - The Virgin Suicides
Massive Attack - Danny The Dog
Prince - Purple Rain
Michael Andrews - Donni Darko
Hans Zimmer - True Romance
BT - Monster
Bernard Herrmann - Taxi Driver
Mellow - CQ

Favorite compilations/soundtracks (I'll make this one shorter):

True Romance
Lost In Translation
Magnolia (which is Aimee Mann dominated)
Casshern
It's All Gone Pete Tong

What ever, still a great sound track.

Of course the movie was BS, nobody into computers took it seriously.

It was just fun to watch.

Freaky isn't it? :P

Growing up as a kid, I loved almost every 80s movie that focused on dancing...funny how my life turned out lol. Don't tell me you enjoy trying to recreate some of the choreography too...I've always invisioned myself playing the male lead if they were to make it a broadway/ballet show. This is probably my fruitiest post ever.

And don't get me started on the ch00nage...So Close to The Fire and Far From Over...<3 Also...Cynthia Rhodes <3

I'm glad you didn't put a 2 after kill bill.

And if you liked Lock Stock's score, check out Revolver's by Nathaniel Mechaly.

I'm also going to recommend Jon Brion's Punch Drunk Love score.
