-- Mixer for around 300 dollars?

Mixer for around 300 dollars?

I'm getting a new mixer and am wondering what you guys would get for around 300 dollars. I can't spend like 750+ on a mixer. I don't have the cash.

I'm looking at either
Stanton M.304
or
Vestax VMC-004

What do you guys think?

Also, do you know any good external filters? I would love to have an external filter to be able to route to. Filters are amazing.

Thanks

Vestax VMC 004

that's your best choice

about filters, I know they are some Allen & Heath, but they are way too expensive about 500 $ I think, I don't think you wanna spend that amount of money on a filter.

I just bought the VMC-004 yesterday actually. I'm pleased with it so far. I love the feel of the faders, and the EQs sound good and do exactly what they are supposed to. AND WOW! The cuing system on this mixer is pretty damn nice as well.

What about the Kaoss pad? Doesn't that have filters on it?

the kaoss has pretty much everyone's seal of approval but if your looking for something different check out Alesis airFX...its sweet it projects an infrared sphere where you manipulate the effect using your hands in the air. i dont have it but ive heard good stories of it...

For the money, go with the Vestax.

I personally love the Kaoss Pad. I had one of the first Air FX units and took it back, but the idea behind it was cool.

There's other options out there as well to get on the cheap i.e. the Behringer Tweakalizer. Not the highest sound quality, but easy on the pocketbook.

wow im a bit late on the reply on this one...

i paid 461 euros including shipping from www.deejayladen.com

i got a Xone 464 for a STEAL during the month and a half, if not two, that it took to get it, when i got it, opened it up, saw it had a european plug, after vestax had told me they all come with both, which was bull...sat on my desk for a day...boxed it back up and now i cant sell the damn thing on eBay...for frick sake, starting bid is 300 USD its brand new, and www.DJDEALS.com is starting at 499...plus i include a brand new transformer i paid 60 Bucks CAD for...

now i sold my 464, ive been mixerless for about three weeks...and im waiting for a Nuo4 that should come this week...Big Thanks to Prism in regards to the Nuo 4...and i dont want to hook up the Vestax, nor do i want to keep it though its completely out of the box...but it seems like a REAL SOLID MIXER...and ive used the XL White...mannnn i love that cueing system...

WHy the fuck didn't you just buy a power converter and a plug converter? Would have saved you a WHOOOOLE lot of time and you'd still have a mixer.

someone offered me the Xone 464 for like i said, a Steal i couldnt believe i got it for as much as i did, it was 3 years old but what the hell...and i did buy a power converter between the time of delivery and the time it was offered to me, which was not very long... but i decided i'll just not use the vestax in case i want to sell it as new, open box, which im doing now, i got rid of the 464 three weeks ago, didnt need a club installation with all those inputs...and i made a profit, hence the low starting price for this one...and like i said i still want to sell it as new, i have the plug adapter (transformer) ready to go, i could use it right now if i like, but then its not gonna Be "new" anymore...

im not really suffering from being mixerless anyways, my pal has the 004 XL WHT and im over a lot...
