Do you ever talk to your car like its a human?
I know lots of people in the uk do.
I don't mean like full blown conversations like "How was your day Mr. BMW?"....but like...encouragement or whatever?
I did today...i passed the point where my cambelt snapped the other week on the motorway and said "Now lets try this again Car!".....Oh how we did laugh....
Oh and before i forget here is the token
mostly just "wat the fuck u peice of shit!"
thsi belongs in political debate and discussion.
i work delivery
so naturally, i go crazy throughout the night
i probably talk / plead with traffic lights more though

last year we bought an 1993 buick regal and we named her "auntie carol" and we took her on our honeymoon. Whenever the car started acting up we would say things like "come on auntie carol!" or "atta girl auntie carol".
there u go.
i dont really talk to it. but i do talk to graves if im walking through a graveyard.
just like "hope youre dooing well, mrs butterworth
"
to my car... just "you suck" or "shut the hell up" at that noise it makes when i open the door
People who do that are just weird. Talking to your cat or dog is different but to a car..... must be a guy thing and if chics do it to then well.......

Another reason behind it is the same as talking to one's self or making dumb rhetorical questions: it's a cognitive process, a way of talking to your own consciousness. |
my car IS a human...oooooooooooo
I say 'come on baby, lets go for a ride' when I start my car.

I speak with my car. She acts differently based on the weather and the duration of time since my last oil change. I pat the dashboard too, sometimes.

Considering I live in Charlotte, NC rated as one of the worst places for traffic as of late (in the USA), I spend more time cussing out idiotic drivers who don't know how to push the gas pedal instead of the brake.
And traffic lights.
So lights and other drivers are who I talk to.
Road rage is such a wonderful thing.

I've never talked to my car, but most of the time I'm talking to the cars in front of me when they're not going fast enough. Dunno why
