what makes a dj real good

one who actually bust out the synths or whatever musical instrument to make their own music, such as infected mushroom..... are thereany others that do that? (doesnt have to be live)

What makes a good dj is the ability to read a crowd, to play the next record exactly suited to that moment, it is little to do with technical mixing ability.

What makes a good producer on the other hand is a different question........

umm no, that's a producer. And note that some really good producers make awful DJs and vice versa.
