Review: Steve Lawler @ Cielo NYC

Just got back from a week in the city that never sleeps. Had a chance to hit up Cielo on the last night i was there, and guess who was playing!?? Very intimate venue (300 capacity) and yet there was plenty of room to dance! Had a chat with steve about his Skybar show he told me the cops came again. LOL. He played from about 11:30 to 4pm we left a little earlier since our train departed @ 7am. FAACKIN sweet night!

it looked like he was having so much fun but fucking cops ruin everything, i was so expecting for him to go until 10am at least and no one wanted to leave, we were screaming there for at least 5-10min for him to comeback.. but what can you do :/ the place was still rammed at 8:30am..

maybe they didnt bother coming up and told the bouncer to call someone upstairs.. i dont think lawler would just finish because he was tired, cant be the case..

I was at the back of the Skybar near the end of the night, and I saw a cruiser pull up. The bouncers talked to the cops for a few minutes and then started talking on their radio. 2 tracks later, the party was done.

One of the co-owners of Cielo, my friend, DJ Nicolas Matar texted me and told me that Lawler was absolutely crazy this past Sunday at Cielo. God, I love that club so much! I need to go back soon!
