It's a real bugger, and you gotta feel for the guy, the work he's put into the site and the community over the 2 years, lets hope everything returns to normal soon and something like this never happens again

Well it'll take some time before I have it as good as it was before the crash.. I did so many modifications.. I notice it as being 10% slower right now and it bugs me...

I know the updating the system to the state it was is very very hard, but i know.. my hdd died a few months ago.. with thousands of very rare mp3s..

It's a shame that the site has been practically reset to 2002/02/12... Well, that doesn't stop us from being TAs and rebuilding the site and forums back up! I was wondering what happened all day yesterday when I couldn't get to your site and I found out later on around 19:00 our time(, 00:00 on 2002/03/01 UTC/GMT time) that you had a HD crash ( ) and it will take a LOT to get this site back to the way it was... Do you know yet what caused the HDD crash? Is it possible to backup DAILY if it isn't being done already? Also, what kind of backup system do you use? DLT? DDS/DAT 4mm? CD-RW? DVD+RW? There are MANY others but, I won't mention them since you probably know them..... Well, I hope things will be running smoothly again soon and this never happens again...
