Many people are slaves to their paycheck. Or slaves to the weekend.

How long would I have to be a slave for? what would the conditions actually be?

If you are entering this agreement voluntarily and you are getting something in return then I can't see how that constitutes being a slave. Instead of working for money you are just working for something specific.
