well, since we all know what happened, I think it's the best thing to continue with the good things we were putting up here...
therefor I rebuild this thread, originally opened by cosmic man(good idea)
but since I am a little short in time right now I'll have to explain mine later...
The Greatest DJ and the Greatest Club in the world!
Cosmo - was the best club here, in Odessa. I was addicted to it, so i took it's name as my nick. But, also I'm known as Buya - that's one half of my surname, and at the same time it means "rowdy" 
I don't get the 'greatest club in the world' part.
is S11DJ a club or so??
mine (very short)
does not mean anything really.. couple of years ago we (me+ classmates) were just having fun and chatting blabla etc. you know the stuff and then just someone called me kolkiewolkie.. now I really don't know if I justed it already at that moment, but I thought, hey, that does not sounds bad... PLUS I needed name for my hotmailaccount and found this rather unique.. since then I am kolkiewolkie on the inet..
by the way: my full name is gerdinand kolkman (and NO, I am not family of miss proximus (josta kolkman.. LOL))... so it is now obvious where the 'kolk' part is coming from... -ie is just an expression in dutch making things smaller... and 'wolk' is the dutch word for cloud...(no I am not 'in the clouds' with my head or something 
)

I originally registered under "Virus", which is my real (well, one of many) nicknames. Suddenly I couldnt post any longer and I didnt get any reply when I mailed about it so I reregistered under "King of Clubs" since I was listening a whole lot to King of Clubs - Revelation (Airwave Remix) at the time. I wanted to change it since I soon realized that labelling oneself the "King of Clubs" is a bit retarded.. But now it feels like Ive already created my "TA identity" and changing it would only be confusing... Its not really a big issue for me so Ill leave it at that.. Long Live The King!

I've been using Firestarter as an alias for gaming and the internet since that song came out which was in Oct-96.
Trivia: It shows up on the WipeOut XL CD as an instramental and then was offically released on July-97 with their Fat of the Land CD. The WipeOut XL CD is the one CD that truly trapped me into the world of Eletronica forever.
I've often thought about changing it...but too many people on the internet know me as such now...
But the word "Firestarter" meant to me not necessarily someone who is an arsonist but someone who's willing to make things happen. Someone who is not willing to let bordom and doldrums beat down when with a group of friends or by oneself. There's so much out there! Do something! Nothing good happens when sitting on ones ass....

Let's see........on another board.......i had the name torontotrance......i like trance and i'm from toronto. In the chatroom of tranceaddict.........i'm torontotranceaddict......so lately i go by tta. Simple name.......had it since late 1999
i wanted to sign up as robbyrob muzik, but i just chose robbyrob. my name is robert and alot of peeps call me robbyrob.. the muzik well i just love muzik and making it so theres robbyrob muzik
same with me i was given this name back in high school. for the weirdest reason, it started when i was at a party than i was dancing 1 of my m8s said i looked like a raptor then the name went on for ages. i would love to change my name since this name was in the past and i had some very bad memories of this name.
i go by the name northstar now... the reason is that the northstar guides a lost person in the night. so it shows great meaning.

Sarcoman
In univesity I was in the Medical Sciences, and had a heavy focus on Molecular Biology and Oncology (Study of Cancer).
Sarcoma is a form of Cancer (specifically, A malignant tumor derived from mesenchymal cells (eg. connective tissue, vascular tissue, bone)
When I first signed up for Napster 3 years ago, I needed a name, and as you know, it is difficult to find a unique name without having to put a number at the back (ie Mad Scienists098). So I created Sarcoman, the Cancer Fighting Super Hero.

yeah yeah pushbutton, but you gotta tell the rest of the story...
we were at this big event on halloween, and this "so-called" DJ was using CD decks... not bad in and of itself (if used with turn tables), but thats ALL he had.... not like hip hop records are hard to find!!!.... thats all he spun was crappy hip hop that they play on the radio, and he COULDN'T EVEN MIX!!! he all waited until one song was over, then slapped the crossfader over to the other side LoL......

this was a huge city-sponsored thing too... not like some small kids' party. but it was just as well.... after that the cops stampeded the place and there was rioting and all kinds of fights and sh!t. Heh, what else would you expect from hip hop being blasted in a crowded area with a bunch of drunk fight-happy tough guys with their shirts off.... i woulda jumped into the fray except i was wearing a cat-in-the-hat costume and lost all credibility the moment i set foot in the place.
