Posted by mzvirbulis on Jun-16-2006 01:54:

Posted by sterilis on Jun-16-2006 15:41:

idiot took it off ebay. is it worth holding on for the 800 or would you just buy the 200?

Posted by nutsan on Jun-16-2006 16:57:

it depends if u wanna scratch and use vinyl mode? if u dont then get the cdj200 the pitch resolution is more accurate and is smaller.

Posted by sterilis on Jun-16-2006 17:09:

better hold on then. the 200s are going for 150 i think i saw them for.

Posted by nutsan on Jun-16-2006 17:10:

150? thats insane dont reli sound legit. u got a link?

Posted by sterilis on Jun-16-2006 17:13:

i was wrong 180 still good though. the guy seems legit. and your covered if he cons you. i doubt he will though as hes one of ebays top traders.

Posted by nutsan on Jun-16-2006 17:17:

not bad but u have to take into account the shipping then the fact u have to pay vat and import taxes wen it comes into the country.

im currently lookin to get sum cdj200 and was considering importing sum but im starting to think against it because of these reasons, also the fact u may have issues with ur warrenty or possibly not even get one.

Posted by sterilis on Jun-16-2006 17:20:

true. but if you work something out with the trader about costs and shit. if they did break just claim on the house insurance or bring them to get them fixed. when your saving over 200 its worth it.

Posted by sterilis on Jun-16-2006 17:22:

prices in the uk are a rip off!

Posted by nutsan on Jun-16-2006 17:23:

yes but like i said depends how much u save over all. it with all the costs it works out cheap then go for it. i mite get the other ones too but if it the matter of 100 less is it really worth it?

Posted by sterilis on Jun-16-2006 17:25:

yea i no but if it does work out really cheap im defo going for it.

Posted by nutsan on Jun-16-2006 17:29:

cool well let me kno how much it works out at over all. im quite interested. and ur right we pay way too much for stuff in the uk in the usa u can get cdj 800 for 450ish and the denon3500 frthe same pirce which is 200 cheaper than is it over here. ud save 400 if u bought a pair that enough for a pretty decent mixer. its insane. id love sum cdj1000 but they way out of my price range for now. i can get 2 cdj200 for the price of 1 cdj1000. hehe

good luck!

this has to be a con! cdj1000 mk3

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-PIONEER-2...1QQcmdZViewItem

Posted by nutsan on Jun-16-2006 18:09:

seems like it. although the feedback is good. i think it culd be a higjacked account coz the seller used to sell clothes and the item has a different email to contact than the accounts, also the auction is only for 1 day

Posted by sterilis on Jun-16-2006 18:25:

can people hijack accounts

Posted by sterilis on Jun-17-2006 00:15:

import costs are between 18 and 32 quid. not bad.

Posted by miamitranceman on Jun-17-2006 01:12:

Got my 800 mk2s on agi for 569.00 each incl shipping. Plus the Pio warrenty.

For a first setup, there's more in front of me than I can learn at once. By all accounts, the 200s are a great value for what you get. For me, I just wanted to spend a little more money on this purchase and upgrade to the 800s so I have the opportunity/ability to explore the vinyl mode and scratching down the road. I wanted the larger (1000-like) platter. I didn't want to get "bored" with a basic cd player and basic mixer, which is also why I purchased the Pio DJM-400 with 7 built in effects and an in loop sampler as bonuses. There's so much to play with I can always try new things. That's what I was looking for in my purchase. PM for any more details on the 800s.

Posted by SPAWNmaster on Jun-17-2006 06:55:

to be honest, bro id stay away from ebay since you wont get the warranty (not like pio equipment is gonna crap out on you though )...
i suggest you search through pioneer's list of authorized vendors and you can find some sites that offer REDICULOUS prices...but yea take a look at agiprodj.com they always have decent prices and inventory

meh its not that bad of a price!

but yes it is expensive.

remember it is in AUD! and im getting them delivered.

i really don't see a point in ordering outside of EU for anyone in EU as you're going to end up having to pay VAT and customs and you have to get an adapter to convert the voltage and the plug because they're different in the USA. the adapters aren't really cheap either, at least i haven't found any reasonably priced ones. i dunno if you have the UK or the EU plug in ireland but i'm 100% sure it's different than the US plug is.
also if you order from ebay you won't get a warranty. but if you order from the USA and get a warranty (for example from agiprodj) i'm pretty sure you'd have to send it back to USA for a warranty repair if it does break. but if you order it from somewhere in the EU you should be able to take it into any local Pioneer repairshop to get it fixed without any problems with the warranty.
as tempting as it is, ordering dj gear from the USA just isn't worth it IMO.
