Deep Announcer voice
I've noticed that in many videos of large music festivals they have a deep announcer voice talknig over it or announcing the DJa. [example here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mIQcb-KvaE]. Is that a person with a very deep voice or are there ways to put filters/EQ settings that make it that deep?
usually vocoder in my experience
Hmm....do you know where I might find said vocoder?
well if your using cubase they have one that comes standard in channel fx...theres a pretty decent one i used to use about a year ago called the akai DC Vocoder...pretty straightforward and gets the job done...good luck
It's a guy with a deep voice
Hard to fake that with eq/vocoder
EDIT: Here's a sample of the guy I'm using: http://www.emortal.se/music/emortal-take_off.mp3
completely unprocessed
I won't be using it though, as I wrote it a bit too cheesy

Truths.
the guy who's speaks at Sensation with his extremely hard and deep voice actually lives from it - every movie trailer in the past decade was pronounced by him...
Hmmm...thanks for the info guys. Don't worry, I won't try and make something all cheesy.
