I have to go against my country. Italy 2-1. U.S. defense makes me nauseous. I just don't want to be pissed and turn it off after halftime.
Yet, I will say that the U.S. EASILY has the best collection of athletes in the world if you take all sports combined. They just don't play football. Only momma's boys from the rich suburbs play for our national team.
im going to bgo out to a stupid american bar and go watch this game.. rooting for italy!
Good choice Nachos, exactly what you shall do.
Nachos, you're always welcome to leave.
w00t w00t gravy train!
i can't wait for this, 25 old guys at my house eating ice cream and jumping all over the couches.. lmao
good times!
3-0 Italy

2-0.
but that's only because Italy won't care enough to try to score more goals.
Italy 1-0, I think it will be an interesting game, US will bounce back and play much better and give Italy a run for their money, but it won't be enough, hence my 1-0 prediction
USA has a soccer team?
but seriously, I don't care who plays against the US; as long as they crush them - I will be happy.
I fear the USA will be totally outclassed again.
3-0
If the US have something to prove this is the game to do it in. It would be a surprise if the Americans win though.
Italy has a strong team but as an American, I do have national pride regardless if my team is in shambles. I do believe the US team will come out and on the offensive.
I believe they are benching Beasley and bringing in Eddie Johnson.
Im going to predict a 2-1 US victory to complicate Group E even more.
S.Korea eliminated Italy last time around. Mexico even tied them last time around, so absolutely nething is possible.
If Donovan remains awake for more than 30 minutes, I believe this might be a decent game. Flame me if you want.
But I'll be supporting my 2nd preferred team.
this game really represents a serious conflict of interest for me.
born in here, being argentinian, italian, and lebanese..
it's hard for me to root for or against either team. but i think seeing the US loose would disapoint me more than seeing italy loose. even though it looks pretty obvious that the US is gonna stomped on.
as much as i want the europeans to choke on a big juicy argentinean sausage, (or some brazilian phallus like meat product) i still have a soft spot for italy.
damn it all to hell!
I'm going to have to go with Italy on this one.
I don't think USA's systematic, even robotic, offensive game plan will work with an international giant like Italy.
2-1 italy

I'll be cheering for the U.S.A. tomorrow
I can't believe I just said that but I hate the Italians more than any other team in this world cup, except possibly Ingerland.
