Girl Vocal Question

In those cheesy trance songs, are the girls that sing in them real or are they fake vocals that they just type in the words and the program says it in a girls voice?

Are there any programs like that, i know fruityloops has something like that but it's not sophisticated. do u guys know of any that u can type in words and it will say it to u in a normal way?

Posted by Final Call on Jun-16-2006 21:23:

they're actually singing....

Posted by StanVoid on Jun-16-2006 21:32:

Jan Johnston was a pretty good software that tiesto used a lot to make a lot of cheesy vocals.

okay look, i've noticed in a lot of songs not professional ones that are released, im talking about the ones that u can find in bearshare and shit like that when u type in "trance" or "rave." most of those songs are not professionaly made and most of the singers have the same exact voice, i just thought most of those vocals were created using a program, i guess i was wrong

Posted by StanVoid on Jun-16-2006 21:51:

you gotta give an example of a track, otherwise we think you're talking about typical vocal trance which has real women in it

okay np,

Dj Danny D - Dance Mix

Atb - I See Stars <
i'm sorry i can't think of any more right now cuz i don't have a p2p program installed on this computer that im using or else i would've gone and searched, but i hope u get my point, those female vocals in those songs sound very similar imo, i don't know, maybe they're really girls singing in them, but u guys don't know if there's a program that could make vocals like those?

Posted by Final Call on Jun-16-2006 22:23:

i doubt its a program of which you can just type in words and the program sings for you =P the fruity one..is shite anyways..lol and theres choir VSTs where you can type in words and allow them to hold a certain word note or w.e. Now with the same sounding vocals over and over agian..they could be a singer and some people just high pitch the vocals or whatnot. Theres alot of that cheeze crap of Kate Lesing..which she sings for East Clubbers and alot of amatuer people just use her vocals.

o ok, i have another question. what about that vocal used in cosmic gate - exploration of space, u know that old guy's voice. is that a real guy singing in the back of it with some weird effects put onto it or is it something from fl studio or something? cuz i've heard that same voice in thousands of other songs ranging from hiphop to trance.

Posted by Final Call on Jun-16-2006 23:38:

it's probly a sample

Dude, its an acapella.

There are a couple of ways of obtaining acapellas but the short of it is that if the artist chooses not to release an instrumental version of the song or the accapella itself on a B Side then you aint getting it.

Acapellas are just the vocal tracks. No you cant use 'vocal removers' to isolate them from existing songs. They dont work very well (if at all) and I have explained the process in detail so many times I'm just oging to say 'SEARCH button.'

The human voice is not something you can replicate in software so I have no idea how you mistook it for a program but there you go - its an acapella. A sample. If you cant find it in a few hours of googling or p2p searching, it probably doesnt exist.

Other than that, do not ask for acapellas here because it is copyright violation.

For that cosmic gate tune, its probably either a vocal or speech sample processed through a vocoder.

Hope this helped.

LOL

I can barely believe you actually asked this... are you fucking around with us?

Posted by Aquarian on Jun-17-2006 23:07:

Those cheesy female vocals all sound similar because they're filtered and processed in the same way to make them fit in the mix, and they're run through the same effects - usually reverb and lots of delay.

I've got a great software called Tiff Lacey

Seriously mate, noone uses vocaloid for real, just for drafting.. Best bet is to contact a singer when you feel your production is good enough to get their attention

Posted by LENG on Jun-19-2006 11:08:

btw drik... could you pm me that dude's contact which u used his vox in the track take off?

It's an acctuall guy.

Chances are, if it was a software, you'd hear it.

They male voice in most of Benny Bennasi's work (Who's Your Daddy and Satisfaction anyways), is synthesized I belive. But there's really no way of knowing.

Just for the record, Vocaloid is pretty good. Ive only used it for background vocals but it definitely does the job. You can get a fairly decent natural sounding vocal out of it, but you will have to put in the extra time to mess around with intonation, vibrato and note transitions to get a quality output. Throw some flanger, delay and reverb itll blend right in, lol

Posted by Final Call on Jun-19-2006 22:41:

yeah..ferry's rock your body rock..is his voice runned through the vocoder on the Korg MicroKORG.
