Evolution of Taste

How many people here can say that they can't believe the shit they were listening to back in the day.

I used to remember when "Angelic - Stay With Me" drove me crazy. Not so much anymore. I don't even want to dwell on "Scooter."

Now its all progressive house, tribal, and the subtle tracks in between.

Anyone else with similar experiences?

System F - Out of the Blue. At first I thought it was a cheesy, then I let it grow on me, which looking back, was kinda shameful

Anything to do with Public Domain and The Warp Brothers, lots of other souless cheese from 2001, which was strangely when my interest in music began to fade a lot. I wouldn't say I ever loved it, but I'm amazed that I punished my ears with it.

Brooklyn Bounce's first CD is great. The second one was alright, after that it went to shit. I still own them today.

As for me, it started with dance mix crap. Eventually learned more about trance and my fav producer BT. I still love BT but I sensed trance rotting into what it is today. Then moved on to east coast house and other underground stuff, and finally on to euphoria and progressive house / progressive trance. I always phase in and out of other styles like psytrance and atmospheric jungle.

I used to listen to tons of the stupid shit they played on the radio. Then all the mainstream electronic acts... then finally now where I am finding tons of different genres and artists of electronic music I enjoy.
