Question Best Nintendo DS games?

This is easy to find I know but i am too busy to search and read reviews, because of my exams.

I am planning to buy a Nintendo DS after my exams but I don't know if it worths it. It certainly looks hot but what about the games. My m8 says that there are not so many good games released, just some remakes of older games.

I have read that the Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow and that Brain Age are fantastic. Which other games would you recommend me? (released or not).

Nearly every game that involves Mario :

Mario Kart DS (Best multiplayer experience at school )
Mario & Luigi : Partners In Time
New Super Mario Bros
Super Mario 64 DS

If you like stuff like Tetris, be sure to check Meteos.

Brain Age is very cool indeed but you won't play it longer than 15 min. a day.

Metroid & Trauma Center look amazing but I don't own them so I can't really say anything about them

Mario Kart looks great indeed. The SNES mario kart was awesome, this should be great.

Yup, it's still the best mario kart imo. BTW, there are some of the snes tracks included on the DS version

And I think it's better than Mario Kart : Double Dash on GameCube which is way too slow :/

get Metroid!!! if you know people that also have it, you can connect wi-fi style and play. it's a great multiplayer game dude.

Well I can only speak from the 2 games I've played as I just got the DS Lite last week.

The new Super Mario Bros is really good and then I also got Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow which is good.

btw, it's the DS that has the good games, and the PSP has shit. i've experienced both and the DS owns.

You must be talking about Deadly Silence, the remake of the original Resident Evil. I have yet to try it out but I hope it's better than what most people rated it as.

To anyone else that reads the prior post, let's not forget that it's simply an opinion and he's entitled to it. I might not agree with it but I value your input.

Not to mention a new mode which is more tuned to action rather than puzzle solving.

It's a worthy remake, I'm sure.

Bought this yesterday + Mario Kart and Brain Training.
I love both games. What i don't like at Mario Kart is when e.g. Mario is second and i hit him with a banana he will go at the 4th place but in a couple of mins he will regain his 2nd place and stay there.
SNES Mario Kart had the same problem. otherwise fantastic game.

Yeah in SNES you could just see them going twice as fast on the map and passing everyone

A little for everyone that isn't familiar with what you mean:

On the 150CC and 150CC Reverse Modes (the 2 hardest difficulties), the AI for each kart is different. If a character performs very well (top 3) at least twice, his AI is significantly tweaked, so as to mimic a game players, and he will more than likely end up in the Top 3 leading all the way up to the final race.

it's funny. always the same finish depending on who you (the player) used in the circuit races.

they should bring back koopa troopa for mario kart... not dry bones heh
