Brazil - Australia (June 18th 2006) [Group F]

Go Aussie!

Australia will not play with the guys who already seen a yellow card. Hope they will get a draw versus an overhyped brazilian team.

Any bets on how much kilometres Ronaldo will run????

Fag

But I hope they will at least play well and try to force Brazil to better play than against Croatia. The croats were great indeed.

i'm trying to figure out what outcome would work best in favor of Croatia moving on... but I guess I can't know that just yet. Though i do NOT like Brazil, and hope they get eliminated.

Australia wins, a big game against Croatia in the 3rd and it would've been a very good one.

I'm going to be rooting for the Aussies even though they are smug bastards. If they beat brazil I'm going to laugh so hard milk comes out of my nose.

Brazil 2-0

lol.

i'll be rooting for the aussies too, just bc brasil is my arch nemesis.

Brazil was watching the game ownage by Argentina the other day.

Look for a similar effort to put them back in the spotlight.

Brazil 5 -0

If Brazil doesn't trash Australia and win convincinly (unlike Croatia's game), I'm changing sigs. Ok, maybe not but fuck, It's Australia dammit! Anything other than a 2 goal differential will be disappointing. 3-0?

Posted by Taub on Jun-18-2006 04:47:

what time is the game?

Posted by saint_sileighty on Jun-18-2006 05:05:

^^

The game is on the standard time that all second matches are on. Here it's bout 1:30-2:00. But we are +10GMT

Brazil's defence looked suspect against Croatia and if that one guy with the pony tail who plays in the SPL (I think) could at least have finished ONE OF THE MANY chances he had, it could have been a huge upset. Still, Brazil will only get better so I think the best the Aussies could hope for is to play as physical as possible without having a card fest and grind out a draw.

But I'll say Brazil 2 - Australia 1. I will root for a fellow Commonwealth country of course.

Guus Hiddink has said he's not resting the players with yellow cards against Brasil and the Aus team will be going all out against them. It's risky because i think a win or draw against Brasil will be very hard, personally i'd rest the players so we are at our best against Croatia. But hey, i'm not the worlds best coach :P

1 - 1 draw

He's far from the best Coach in the world. Scholari and Mourinho are far better coaches than he is. However, he is a great Coach when it comes to preparing a team for a match.

as long as both teams advance, i'll be cool with it.

i just want strong no-eruopean teams to advance to help slaughter the europeans.

croats, a caravan of mules n' shit is wating outside to take you guys home after this round. thank you.

Would be great to see Australia win over Brazil, even though that is probably not possible. But I have a feeling the Aussies can put up a great game and perhaps take points if they really tear the hearts out of themselves.

Brazil should win this though, it's going to be very much running without ball for Australia. Then when they get the ball, they have to counterattack as fast as they were doing against the Japanese team.

Should be entertaining.
