Tonight: Sander van Doorn Essential Mix

Sander does his first ever BBC Radio One Essential mix, following the great response to his set as a guest on Judge Jules show live from Coloursfest at the start of June in Glasgow. The mix will be broadcasted to the world from 1am - 3am CET. (Actually its 02.00 - 04.00 CET!)

I think its about the right time in his career that Sander got an EM, riding on the back of strong remixes of The Police, S.O Project and Armin, his popularity is at an all time high.

Pleased to see Radio1 listening to its listeners

the only thing Ive ever liked from him (including his sets) was his remix of Message in a Bottle. everything else is...meh.

His sets, while not oustanding, don�t suck either & work well on the dancefloor.

yeah i'm relaying man, stopped for a while as the quality of EM's just didnt seem worth relaying, too much crap . Hopefully things are looking up

sander van doorn is my fave producer atm, i like almost all his stuff, except the sam sharp ones...
i ve all "identify mixes" and i think sander van doorn is the best dj for me atm...
very good transitions, tracklists, skillz...

+1 sander van doorn, i wait for a essential mix full of his own productions and remixes well like some banging techstuff...

obs.: thrillseekers and gareth emery agree with me when saying sander van doorn is the best producer atm... sry.

swisstoni_uk, you deleted thread in tracklist section and opened here. An hour ago his mix must be broadcasted today, but now i see it will be next week.? Sander Ketelaars' productions just amazing, very talented guy. I have only S.O.S. and Hoover/Craft on vinyls yet, but wish to buy all his releases. So many amazing tracks for last year. Last year's best track S.O.S. Also as Dj his sets are very good. Mixing progressive house with techtrance.

At the moment he is definitely best producer, DJ top 5 or near.

Yeah, thanks, much appreciated. One thing I should mention with the quality of the stream: You used HE-AAC with SBR signalling. HE as well as SBR are thought to increase the audible quality at very low bitrates (HE and SBR are very good at bitrates <64kbit/s and HE alone is very good at bitrates <96kbit/s). For aac+ streams with higher bitrates it is better to switch off both the HE and SBR optimizations (also called "aac+ v2") as these optimizations replace the original broadcasted sound by artificial sound. The best quality at bitrates >96kbit/s is achieved by the so-called LC-AAC (Low complexity advanced audio coding). Your encoder has all these features...
