PE 10 ? I think I missed one

Anyway, I just d/l this set before work. I'll give some proper feedback once I get home and hear this set.

It looks like I haven't heard many of these tracks, so it should be a pretty fresh set for me.

Cheers and thanks again for a link Michael.

Interesting, certainly had a more driving feel to it than some of the other mixes. I think some of the tracks are from your earlier mixes Did I also hear some PPK going on?

Don't get me wrong it is another really good mix just your previous mixes have set such a high standard and I'm not sure this was as good as those incredible mixes. Bear in mind I know nothing about the technical aspects of putting together a mix and am only commenting on the track selection and general 'feel' of the mix.

Looking forward to your upcoming mixes.

I think it was not a good choice to take the PPK track.
(Alexander Polyakov - Reload (4mal's Burning Morning Remix) [iRec.])
Sounds a little bit to trancy for me .

It's just your opinion and it's ok . It's much better to type your truly opinion and not a lie. I noticed that.

Thanks mate.

I've listened maybe a few times already, it's a pretty decent set, although I'm listening more and more to the first few mixes I've heard of you (Mar, Jun, July 2005 etc).

I'm really diggin' these tracks (bold ones):
06. Titania - Incriminating Evidence (4mal's Verdict Remix)
07. V-Sag - 1951

11. Brisker & Magitman - Go Swiftly [Groove Control] is a nice track. It has a good energy and some really cool sounds
17. Deepsky & Marc Mitchell - Lost In The Moment (Gerwin Koudij's Remix), cool track in which I like a lot of the sounds, but the middle section makes me angry

It was mixed as per your usual, great!

Thanks again McP68!

Cheers

I don't have the set with me at work, but IIRC, there was a part in the middle where the producer lopped off all the beautiful energy (as grungy, dirty and rough as the energy was, still sounded great), placed in about 10 seconds or more or dead-air . I take this as the equivalent of placing a soft, romantic country-rock type of track into a GOA/PSY mix, it just shouldn't ever happen!

Of course, well over 99% of the world has got different taste than my own, but it will never sound right, no matter the producer, unless they avoid the dead-air syndrome which is very prevalent (sp?) in trance music.

I'll check the track again once I find some free time, but I'm sure that's what made me angry. Especially since without the absence of beats in those moments, it could've been a fantastic track.

BTW, there's nothing wrong with mixing "Trance" and "Progressive". I mix genre's (Usually PSY/GOA + whatever else fits) whenever I put mixes together, and they usually work out pretty good IMO.

**I'm not sure if you've ever heard Flowjob - Run Baby Run (Big Escape Version) [2006], but this is one Progressive/PSY track that handles the 'dead-air' lull of typical trance tracks really well. Plus I think you should add it to your playlist as I can't find a way to mix this one.

Anyway, time for a quick smoke and then back to work :\

Cheers,

THC
