Confused Motorola L6 imode - Driver?

hey guys just got this phone yesterday and i saw there was a firewire connection on it.. so i thought yeah why not and try and connect it to the computer? so i did... and my computer doesnt recognise the phone. but i also cant find a driver anywhere? any help would be appreciated!
