Posted by Arno F on Jun-20-2006 21:34:

Holland is playing with a poor B team so i dont expect a win, knowing that a no2 spot in the group avoids Germany is enough to not win this one, altho i heard that Argentina wants the same, so it wont be a that exciting match

HUP HUP HUP

this isnt even near the noobness from you back then

And they do deserve it, they've built themselves a cultus of beautiful attacking football over the decenniums (which Van Basten unfortunately seems to have abandonded with only results in his mind).

Posted by Stevie505 on Jun-20-2006 22:12:

Strange as this might sound.

I do hope that Holland are second place that way I can enjoy the fans turning up in thousands in Nuremberg. What a party ahead to look forward to .

TURN IT OFF BRO

They haven't impressed so far though.

Wouldnt be bad if Holland would win, because I would love to see a win over Holland in the quarter-finals. But I think it isnt realistic, so I think Argentina will win 4-1.

Its never bad to see Holland loose.

Posted by happyface on Jun-20-2006 22:56:

Argentina also will be benching some starters eventhough our bench players are just as good. But mainly I think the coach wants to sit out the players that have a yellow card to their name to avoid a second one and miss the next game in the second round. Don't care who Argentina plays in the knockout stage wether its Portugal or Mexico, shit it can even be Angola if Mexico looses and Angola wins, never know.

As for the guy that said Holland deserves it,they don't deserve jack untill you beat all the teams that stand in Hollands way.

Agreed, I love watching them play as well. Especially that brilliant clockwork Orange of '74, '78 and '98 (they should've won it all 3 times). However, I'm afraid the current team won't get very far. They simply seem out of shape, just like France, Brazil and our own squad.

0-2 Argentina

Posted by FCB_Fanatic on Jun-21-2006 00:47:

Go Argentina, kick some orange but and make my day

and I agree with Godfather, I'd like to see some good soccer from Holland, but apparently Van Basten is just playing for a good result. Too bad for Holland cause they don't really have the team to do so against a good and experienced team. They should remain with their most important skills, and that is bringing good, attractive and attacking football.

Posted by nchs09 on Jun-21-2006 00:52:

i hope rodrigo palacio starts tomorrow so they can show his sick skills!

oh and in case u n00bs keep arguing about it.. let me make it simple

argentina 2-1 over the dutch

Posted by LuNaSeA on Jun-21-2006 02:45:

altho i really dont want them to win, i fear it will be a crusher by argentina. cazzo.

edit: 3-1 argies.

Posted by Kurve on Jun-21-2006 03:51:

1 - 1 tie

Posted by verndogs on Jun-21-2006 04:55:

I should be expecting a half assed effort by both teams...why should bother risking injury if realistically the most you're playing for is seeding position?

Oh yeah....that thing about national pride

Argentina 3 - Dutch 2

Personally, I'm rooting for the Dutch so Argentina can have the possibility of playing England in the Quarterfinals
