Vancouver - places to watch World Cup games!

Hey guys,

I'm an Aussie coming over to Canada in a week and I will be staying in West Vancouver at grandma's . Can anyone tell me where the best places to watch World Cup games in Vancouver are?

Any good pubs or bars that will have a great atmosphere would be perfect. Somewhere with Kokanee on tap (does it come on tap?) would be a bonus

I have been to Vancouver plenty of times so I have a pretty good idea of where everything is, but I haven't been there for a few years so my memory is a litte bit rusty.

Well most games are on at like 6am, 9am etc


And even I dont dare to drink that early

its surpisingly fun to drink at 8:30 in the morning...

you can try commercial drive, theres a big italian community there I think (?!) (take the skytrain to broadway station and walk north).. google map

otherwise just go downtown (robson, granville)

Maybe the No.5 Orange or perhaps the Cecil??

either of the places Chris mentioned would be good as well

Theres a really cool pub down at English Bay named Soho, they are showing the games and have a great selection of beer !

food is good too

i am almost positive the cambie would also show the games, considering the large number of people from all over the world staying there. its at the corner of cambie and powell in downtown

I wouldnt tell tourists to go to cracktown

naw, the cambie isnt all bad, its anything east of it that tourists shouldnt be going to
