is this a decent mixer??

sorry for the lame question, but just tryin to get some feedback.
basically the mixer im looking at is vestax vmc004 HOWEVER this mixer actually looks pretty sweet even though its a behringer:

Behringer DJX700 5-Channel DJ Mixer

now i know typically behringer's are crap however ive actually seen a couple of these in the "bedroom setup pic" thread and so if people have these then obviously their not as bad as their made out to be? i dunno....any feedback plz?

I played on DJX700 just yesterday...the faders are cheap really...you can move them so fucking easy...if they resisted a bit more it would be ok...though I think the crossfader felt quite better and the onboard fx are fun...but hey...there's a "proverb" "Friends don't let friends buy behringer" it says all...I'm not saying it was too bad to mix on this mixer, but I guess in 2-3 months it will be totally done...Bs never last long, the faders will start to make noise when moving etc etc...

no behringer mate... :-)

I was gonna get a stanton mixer but now I think I'm in love with this one...

Wouldn't touch a Behringer. Vestax is good, go with that one.

djx700 = 50 bucks max

faders = crap + bleed + L or R goes out

level meters = crap

bpm indicator = crap + lol

fx = crap

overall = crap

looks like a djm600 though

I have one, and one of my channels suddenly stopped working and now the cue for channel 2 wont turn off, please dont buy this mixer, there are really nice vestax mixers for around the same price, buy those!

+1 for wot everyone has said. i did own one until recently. never had any problems with it tho even after a year. but the quality of it was very very bad. wuldn't buy it again if i culd turn back the clock.

In a word... No.

But that always depends on what you are comparing it to and what you need it for.
Can't remember what one of them costs, the big question should really be, "is it worth the money"?

one thing I remembered...

when you have let's say cue 1 selected and headphones set only so that you should hear cue only...you sometimes hear all other chans :-/

I will say this once and once only.

DO NOT BUY A BEHRINGER MIXER, EVEN IF YOUR ANAL VIRGINITY DEPENDS ON IT.
