Be Cool! July Shark Fishing Charter

I have decided to go on a shark fishing charter the weekend of the 4th out on Montauk. I'm not exactly sure what day because I have to wait to hear back from a few places regaurding open dates but I'm thinking either the 1st, 2nd, or the 3rd. We need six people to fill the boat and it's going to be about $200 a person and this covers everything besides food/drinks. I have two possible candidates already but money talks so right now it's first come, first serve.
Also, If anybody has been on one of these and can recommend a particular charter please let me know. I am inquiring info on a few right now.

LETS DO THIS!!!

I use to fish out at montauk - first time ever I got sea sickness, it's pretty rough out there but you get bluefish fever. Doesn't sound like a bad idea, but if I'm gonna drop $200 on a tour, I think I want to come home with some nice pieces to grill up.

I just went fishing last night in connecticut. I caught a 23 lb. striper. As for the charter boat, i think i would go if it was anything BUT shark fishing. And also, can you drink beer on these boats?

Striper would be lots of fun. Did you go on a private boat?

Nah man, it was right off a dock going into the ocean. The stripers this season are absolutely huge. And if anyone is going striper fishing i highly recommended Sand Worms and not squid or mackarol.

How often do you fish for striper from shore? I'd be down for any type of fishing.

Ive been going on my day offs lately and been loving it. I try to go as much as possible if i have time. Its pretty nice on the dock. I take a camping chair with me, an off-road magazine, cigs, and beer. I just hang out on the dock for hours drinking beer, reading magazines and reeling in those stripers.

After reading up on some local fishing reports, it has been a slow start for shark this season so I decided to go for striped bass instead. Would anybody be down to rip some stripers up on Sunday? The charter is actually cheeper also so it would be about $160-$170 including the tip. Two of my friends punked out so I need three people to fill the boat. Let me know.

The charter leaves from Montauk on the tip of Long Island. Pretty far away from the city.

Montauk sounds familiar.... is that the beach from sunshine on a spotless mind? the one with all the snow at winter?
