PVD @ Space 6/23 Review !!!!

someone had to start it, i guess i'm the only one awake. that is the best i have ever seen pvd play, he really brought it tonight. Edgar V played great as well but this time it didn't seem like Edgar was outshining pvd. PVD TORE THE PLACE UP!! a 4 hr set on the terrace. The vibe and atmosphere was great. Saw alot of TA's show up. i cannot stress how good pvd was. I was going nuts. All i can say is i hope it got recorded and put online soon

excellent night PVD was classic...great set, without any of the,i wanna go to sleep, electro suck ass and give me back my 40 dollars songs. pounding tunes all the way through and on the terrace whoever says u cant drop trance bombs up there is way off base



sssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooo glad i didnt miss this one.


and to EV who closed the terrace, MAGNIFICENTLY....thanks bro for keeping me and my crew dancing our ASS off the tunes were outta control brotha!




P.S the repositioning of the DJ booth is the worst idea i've ever seen. no big name dj will play there. working the crowd is IMPOSSIBLE . so much bad shit to say about it, i wont even start

Wish he played like that the whole time he was here on Thursday.

Good to hear that PVD played well and better then his previous sets here in Miami.Didn't know he was going to be playing on the terrace or else I would ve really tried to attend.Sun sucked the life out of me yesturday for the Heat parade.Maybe next time.

I got here around 11:45, and was anxious to check out to see the main room. Just like renzo stated in another thread it appears to be much smaller. And it looks horrbible to work the crowd. Yet alone it feels like it makes people concentrate to the middle making really crowded in order to see the dj And they had difficulties with the lasers early, and when they get it to work theres a huge light in the middle blocking its projection..


Then after like 5 minutes I was like damn Edgar was banging really nasty..But I couldnt find where he was...And he is definetly easy to spot.... Then next thing I see in the main room are the screens and he was playing, but didnt know where. Then he played this back 2 back.

The crowd went crazy in the main room to almost ever Edgar tune.. He did play some nasty eletro/techy tunes..Just siiickk. Then I found it PvD was going to play the patio @ 2am

Once @ the patio Edgar is rocking it nasty he was dancing all over the place, I had never witnessed him that happy...Then the man came out.

PvD was flawless at the beinging playing nasty tunes... Everyone was going nuts.... The pitch was real high making everything sound awsome. "Ableton Freak"...The patio set was amazing so were the T.V's....Tunes played last night till I could remember more were.

incredible night. Pvd was awesome!!!!! i couldn't believe it . I just couldn't believe the shit he dropped. Bomb after bomb. He tore it up. Edgar started off slow for the opener, but then as usual wrecks it with some crazy tracks. Thanks Edgar for playing Tijuana-Groove is in the Air. That was oldschool craziness. Paul Van Dyk, thank you for making me eat my words. I said in another thread you were going to suck. Great hanging with all the usual suspects.

WoW... WoW.... WOW!!!!!!!!!! thats the PvD I love the most, laying out some nasty unknowns ( at least for me ).. bunch of banging techno tracks... I was going NUTS man!!!!!!!!!!! I think this is the hardest set I have ever heard PvD drop. Ive never NEVER NEEEEEEVEEEEEEEER seen PvD so happy and interactive with the crowd and the music he was spinning, dancing and what-not.

I can say I did a good decision by going, I can say I saw one of the best sets Ive heard him spin. If he's going to Spin like that @ the terrace, then let him spin there next time lol. I'll talk about my thoughts of Space later.

Edgar was laying out some good buildup, the guys in the main-room were posing as DJ's and people thought they were the DJ. I got pissed lol .

are those pictures of the downstairs booth? Why was no one playing in it?

PVD only played in the patio 4hours.. Which was sickkk.. I assume they were having difficuties with having the dj in the main room.. Since they were having problems with lasers and other lights.. No one played in the new booth yet..

Its pretty tall IMO.. Hopefully I will cat Markus/Armin in the mainroom next week. Tonight is Roger..But I was told that he would on play patio as well.

the booth on the terrace is lower than the mainroom booth right? that always provides for a better vibe too... i know most djs enjoy being more "part of the crowd"

Yea its just perfect in the terrace. In the main room now I think they are taking precations cause of 9-11 that shit is ridiculous how high it is.. You really have to be all the way in back almost closee to the bar to be a good angle of the dj.

wtf! which dumbass thought that shit up? dont they realize the dj likes to be able to see the crowd too? slightly elevated is good. the dj not being able to see the people in the front half of the room is bad. i know this as a fact from talking to several djs about it

To me I think someone should right space a letter to lower that booth since I doubt the will put it back to where it was.

HOLLLLLLY CRAAAAAP is all i gotta say. The first 2 hours of his set were MOTHER FUKING BANGIN'! Lis no words to explain how much i wanted the other half of cyclops duo there . You know I sent you the most texts and calls out of everyone.

I couldn't ID shit. PVD started of so hard.. WTF WAS THAT INTRO! Man.. He did play like 4 electro songs ut they weren't that bad.

PVD in the patio is fuking History. I can't believe he rocked it so hard.. I wish my usual crew would have been there.

Spacemasters thank you for taking over Lis's spot last night. Him and I were the only ones ID'ing shit.. Oh and thanks for being my "Boyfriend"

Words can not express how much I wanted Lis and DA there.. EVERYONE kept coming up to me saying 'poor lis..' or 'i cant believe lis missed out'
