[Melodic Psy] Cybernetika - The Origin (320kbps, full)

Hey,
finally I got holidays and time to make as much music as I want to
So here is a track I made in one night and one day: "The Origin", a more melodic twilight full-on track
There is a lot of issues on mixing and mastering I got to improve but I'd like some opinions now

"The Origin"
Length: 8:12
Bitrate: 320kbps
Filesize: ~19MB
Equipment used: FL Studio 6, ReFX Vanguard, rgc z3ta+, Linplug Albino, etc. Mastering in Wavelab.

ahoy matey

i have been wondering where you were.. thought you vanished from the planet lol anyway, reviewing as i listen.. the beginning sounds familiar? i think ive heard it somewhere else... those organ syths have a very dark atmosphere wich i really like. those pads at 0:55 sound quite cool, the kick and bass are well done. no complaints so far. solid sounding synths and beats. the break at 4:50 sounds quite nice and the vocal was kindoff unexpected. but fits rather well. this style of track is a bit different then your other track imo, its more of a psy-trancer. the trancy synth at 6:00 fits well and has alot of atmospheric stuff & effects. the mastering isnt bad.. my only real small complaint wich i wouldnt even bother changing is the bassline. imo it sounds a bit repetitive at times. yet another great track from cybernetika! keep it up mate!

i dont really like to ask for returning reviews. but i do really would like to have a review from you on my latest track if its possible heres a link : http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=352059

and good luck with upcoming tracks!

intro, 00:53 it hits, i must say this is the first time i hear your bass and kick sound like this, you managed to make it sound very pro this time, 01:45 i like baseline, 2:00 hats omg, just perfect, nice filtering, i think the fact that you're using wavelab right now is a good thing... i absolutely refuse to believe that you made it in 1 day and 1 night, this track is gorgeous, not dark as your previous tracks, its easy to listen to.
congrats dude, your track rocks once again, dont forget to mention i will let you know when mine is done, i am using reason/ableton5 now with vst's and behringer midi controller now.

i am puting this track on the next live set compilation its that good

I'm in the same boat! I just got 3 weeks off of school, and I'm not employed so I too have had some time to make some choons.

Like the ambient intro. This is indeed more melodic than your darker stuff. However, it definately carries a dark tone to it in true Cybernetica style.

Loving the bassline. 1:46, I definately would keep going in that direction with your mixing on this bassline. It has a great tone.

2:12 yay! ripping tweaking airy noises. Good stuff so far... I am really like this bassline, shit now I feel like spinnnning.

3:13 I like the subtractive mixing... nice open air, then adding some good saw synth with delay. Nice 3:33. This is really spacey, like, the sample was a little hard to make out, but like you said rough mix at this point.

3:59 This is very nice to listen to! Sometimes Cybernetica tracks are so dark and evil and awesome they are hard to listen to... this has a much more accessible feel. I definately like the direction of this track.

4:50 Break that shit down! Hot... I feel like it needs something. Ahh... those damn transporter break downs, you'd figure Scotty would be a little more attentive to preventative matenience on the Enterprise. What a noob.

5:30. Back into the goodness of your bassline. Nice gateing and arppegio synth.

5:58 Wow Lars! This is some great stuff, I'm feeling and homage to Astral Projection in this track, but with a darker full on tone. 6:55 awesome! awesome! AWESOME! I think that airy saw pad could be a tad louder. The one that is whole notes.

7:31 I like the outro so far. Would be VERY nice to mix out of this track.

As far as technical aspects of this track, personally, if your song has such a rough mix in this stage, I would like to hear and un-mastered version, so I could give you suggestions on your mixing. Because with that volume maximation it's just SLAMMINGLY limited. So it's hard at some points to tell which elements need to come down, and which need to be louder.

But your mastering job is good Because it's not crushing things too bad.

I too, however basically did just the same thing, banged a track out over night, very rough mix, and probably am going to add stuff and work on my mixing more, but I just mastered it and uploaded it.

Take a look if you will, i'd appreciate suggestions, the mixing of all the saw synth elements needs a lot of work.

i like the intro. very nice kick throughout. your transitions are good. the track keeps a nice pulsing energy throughout. The sound quality is very clear. I think a very psychadelic break in the middle would be cool. The track as is has a very nice laid-back feel for like the intro of a psy set. nice work. i like the new melodic tendencies.

Brilliant mate. Absolutely fucking Brilliant!

Good intro, nice pads.
The kick is a little bit weak.
The bass is ok.
3:19 nice melody. though the synth could be better.
Better melody at 3:58, but change the synth.
4:25 nice arp.
5:30 should have been banging, instead it's a bit too calm.
This is a nice track but it should be much more driving and energetic.
You had better...

7/10

Excellent work once again mate... Definitely a piece of work that I would be (and most likely) will use in a future DJ set..

Cheers,

This is fanatastic. I like it every bit as much as Xel'Naga and it's more accessible. The bassline/acidline combination keep the energy of this track going nicely. My only complaint is that perhaps some intermittent high frequency fx would help really bring the track to a climax. I would give a very detailed review, but others have covered the most important points so far. Definitely, definitely, definitely going in my next mix cd.
