with argentina's poor display today against a 2nd tier team, world cup ends on june 30th for them.

germany couldn't beat poland until close to 90 minutes and

they let little itty bitty Costa Rica score 2 goals on them...whats your point

Argentina ftw

Posted by Silentbreed on Jun-25-2006 03:49:

germany will kick argentinas butt and diego maradonna will cries his eyes out.
the last game between germany and argentina ends 1:1
the next will end 3:2 for germany

forza albiceleste!

w/me in argentina's locker room, we're unstopable.

argentina had trouble in this game because mexico has an argentine coach. so he knows to play argentina.

also, a friend of mine put money on argentina to slaughter mexico. i distinctly remember him putting money on argentina to win games, and i noticed when he bets on argentina, argentina looses. why am i mentioning this? because a while back, i had specificly forbidden him from betting on my team, because he's a black cat. thanks to him, my team almost got sent home packin'. luckily his curse ended when his 1,800 bet on argentina went down the drain when regualtion finished in a 1-1 tie.

now w/him out of the way -and hopefully putting money on germany and his favorite team holland, argentina will continue in the competition unfettered, and will take home the cup.

lemme be the first to tell you it will suck to be a kraut defender once teves and messi hit the field. the kraut defenders will have nightmares of the teves/messi combo till the day they die.

you'd think this will be a close game...
but NOT THIS TIME

I see 2-0 for Argentina

It will be a great game between two of the most exciting teams at this years world cup.

There is no real favourite in this game because the home court advantage equals the individual skills of the Argentina players.

It would be awesome if Germany advanced to the next round but I wouldn't be too sad if we loose. Argentina is a great team and deserves to enter the semi-finals just like Germany.

apparentely you're forgetting Germany also played against a '2nd tier' team, Sweden just played really weak. You're probably going to argue now that this was due to the awesome game of Germany, but I doubt that, cause Sweden already played pretty weak in the first round.

Deutschland fr die LOOSE

so you are saying sweden played weak against england in the 2nd half?
gawd open your eyes...

Germany - Argentina
2:0

Posted by Sav0n on Jun-25-2006 10:02:

muahahaha
2:0 for germany. one goal klose and one podolski.

Posted by noikeee on Jun-25-2006 14:58:

I'm pretty much sure that Argentina will play better than against Mexico - the mexicans are a particularly unconfortable team for them. However I'm not sure it'll be enough to defeat the germans - they are looking indeed really good. I expect another close match. Or Germany dominating and Argentina scoring the goals.

Posted by malek on Jun-25-2006 16:17:

to be honnest here, i was really upset to see that Argentina was in Germany's path. Argentina played great (except vs Mexico) and I was hoping for them to kick Brazil's fat ass out.

Posted by sephywiggin on Jun-25-2006 21:18:

I guess since my favorite is out of the cup, I have to fall back on my second...

Let's GO Argentina!!!

2 - 0

Posted by Kurve on Jun-25-2006 22:15:

I dunno argentina never really dominated at any point of the Mexico match and nor in the holland match. They are a good team and being a german im little worried about argentina just because of history. I also dont think Argentina played well enough to say they are that great as people make them out to be i think they played Medicore and Germany honeslty is on a hot streak they are playing good team ball.

3 - 1 Germany!

Posted by isoterra on Jun-25-2006 22:24:

this will be a cracking match & i'm gutted i'll be at work during it

i think it'll be pretty even.. argentina with the most possession but germany making more breaks & getting the shots in. i did have argentina down to go all the way but seeing germany recently i'm not so sure. think it'll go to penalties
