Italy - Australia (June 26th)(Round of 16)[E1 vs F2]

this should be a doozy

this one has the potential to be even more intense than the gamr today. Im beginning to get more interested in the referee than the starting lineup.

Lippi called STRONZI the journalists this evening in the last press, they wanted to know if Toni and Iaquinta are going to play tomorrow. it seems that Lippi is very nervous and not concentrated. he's being criticised still now on the news and opinions.

I'll be cheering for the only Dutchy left in the tournament as of today.. Too bad I will have to miss the first half due to work.

Go Australia!

I don't expect us to win, and it is unlikely that we will, but if we do I will be going crazy tomorrow night!

I think Italy will probably win it 1-0.

My mum is Italian and I have supported Italy at every World Cup since i was born, so it is weird for Australia to finally be in the World Cup now playing Italy!

Kewell is in doubt for this game with an injury and Emerton is out through suspension, so that will certainly effect our chances.

However, if guys like Aloisi, Cahill and Bresciano fire, we have a good chance. And for gods sake, please score a goal Viduka!

It should be an advantage for you that Hiddink decided to put on Schwartzer again..

Our only hope is the Italian are being there arrogant selves, and are already planning for the quarter finals, in which im pretty sure they are.

The brain says Italy comfortably, the heart says Australia!

This tournament still needs a real surprise in terms of results, and if I have to pick between Ghana and the Aussies, it's not gonna be Ghana..

i shouldnt be saying this because im backing them but england are the surprise package of the tournament. That they'v gotten this far with the way they are playing is unbeleivable.

Well first quality opponent coming up in portugal so hope they get their act together.

Alrite... time for an upset and this is it... lol kidding, Italy might struggle big time in this one, but they are pulling it, 2-1 in a close fought game.

Posted by denys envy on Jun-26-2006 00:36:

1-0 Italy... since they haven't had one yet it's about that time.

Posted by InterMilan31 on Jun-26-2006 00:38:

no Viduka for Aussies it looks like so that is a huge plus but no Nesta for us is a huge minus.

I really cant see us losing to the Aussies but it does have the good ol Italian fuck up underestimating a shitty opponent match all over it.

2-1 in a rough rugby match......also all you Aussie fans saying we dive...2 words...HARRY KEWELL his and Gatusso's genes got mixed up
