Three Drives On A Vinyl - "Greece 2000" (Nils Noa remix)
Mp3 sample courtesy of Juno

Has anyone heard this remix of Greece 2000? I really like it. I picked it up last week and it is one of my favorite tunes at the moment. I have been playing a ton of house lately and I am very happy that I can incorporate this house remix of a trance classic. I recently mashed it up with Coburn - Give me love in a practice session and it made me wet my pants. I am going to see if I can record a perfect copy of this mashup. Anyways back on topic, what do y'all think of this remix?

I think the sounds in it sound unecessary, weird, and just plain ol' not good... Definitely could have done without hearing this remix.

Original is the definitely the best... I KINDA like both the "G & M Project" Remix and the "Moonwatcher's 'Sea Of Tranquility'" Mix

yet another remix of greece 2000, sure it's good but most of them have been, with the exception of some of the trance remixes. really, almost the whole spectrum of genres between the 125-140 bpm's have been covered by various remixers.

Mm, this remix does not really add something special to the original. But the b-side of this vinyl Frost - Sleepwalker(Nils Noa & Tronso remix) is awesome!

like ive said before, i like this because its made into a track that can fit well in a house set. Since the new sound that I am playing out currently is house, it is nice to have a track that I can throw in but takes me back to my roots, trance.

I agree, the B-side is the track where its all about here imo

so something like the peace division remix which is a house version, just wouldn't fit your set then?

i have it but its a boring track. what parts from the original does it use?

Posted by montana on Jun-26-2006 22:16:

listen to it again, then listen to the original. you'll notice it, and it does have the melody, it's subtle tho. but if you want to play the nils noa remix, go ahead. like i said, it's a decent version

In addition to Blake Jarrell, Matthew Dekay also played the Nils Noa remix in his set @ the same show in Chicago this past Saturday (I know you left earlier RJT and we're disappointed that we got to afters late and didn't get to hang out). The Noa remix got quite a great reaction & is a nice production, so go with it if it's your pick of the litter, though can't really contest the charge that there's already enough solid remixes out there that another one wasn't necessary.

pretty unnecessary imo

farmotronic genetic mix, man with no name mix & original are all you need imo.

Don't think this remix adds anything at all to the original and i think if you want a housier version maybe the Chus remix could be a better suggestion.

I'd hardly call it a remix. All he added were some extra drums and an extended build up

good track though, just too slow for my tastes.
