I like the rock they play.

This station sucks anyways. It didn't make any difference when they left. The only thing they had going was Markus Schulz's GDJB and Paul Oakenfold Presents. To my amazement during its run Oakie actually spinned some great stuff on his show. Going back on topic like MellyMel said they repeat the same track a million times over.

There's a new dance radio in Miami:
http://www.power96-2.com/ in HD-radio only.

Shit will never happen.
Cox radio dont give a fuck about how many signatures they get..

They want benjamins, not Abe Lincoln's

in my opinion i think this is true..but we dont loose anything by trying

The thing is, the format is not that big down here. Large commercial stations simply chase the audience, and do not create one. There is better market for hip-hop/rock/reggaeton down here in SF than dance. Party never made it, I guess, mostly due to their half-ass approach to the programming. I've heard they are not doing much better with rock right now than with dance before. Simply put, commercial radio is not interested in providing great service, they are interested in revenue. The future for dance music is in non-commercial internet radio. With some protable WiFi internet radio receivers coming out, with spread of internet ready phones, it will be much easier to appreciate internet radio in the near future. Having such high-tech music format, why stick to the low-tech transmission medium (fm radio)? If they dont want to cater us, then lets adopt the new technology.

The future of dance music is where it is right now. The clubs. If it were called "listen" music then it would suck ass at the clubs but be a hit on the radio. Who the hell even bothers to stop dancing and actually listen to dance music anyway? Party 931 was trying to do what dance music was not programmed to do. so screw this topic... let's go out and parrrrrrrrrtayyy.

The end.

for a religious dance station.. I'd say its format was a lot better than Party 931's, and the majority of christian dance music is poorly produced and unlistenable. I don't know how those producers aren't afraid God's gonna hit em with a lightning bolt for making him tunes that halfassed. Don't believe me? turn on 91.7 The Call. It's a religious rock/emo station that occasionally drops some horrible dance tunes.

Vibe actually dug through an obscure genre to find the best tracks from it... gotta give those guys props.

You are wrong.

There is music for clubs, and there is music for home, everyone knows that.

I liked the station, but why dont you guys just get satelite radio?
