Reason supersaw
I'm trying to make a supersaw using 4 Subtractors. I have gotten basically the sound that I want, but there is a "bip" right at the attack position. I have turned down the resonance filters on all devices and lowered the filter envelopes on all to zero to minimize this sound, but there is still a slight residue.
I have also raised the attack time, which helps somewhat, but I don't want a sound that is too "whhhhaaaa". Does anyone know how to eliminate this "bip"?
nvm got rid of it
kool..was gonna say theres loads of supersaw patches for reason on the forums.

to be honest i heard a synth made in reason by an artist on TA from a recent thread and it was awesome! he said that he ran 3200 AMD CHIP and used a combi with shit loads of fx which made the synth nearly go in the red! wow.
ill try and look for it! im loving reason every moment learning new things, people are to lazy for most of the extent because they dont know how to get passed them restrictions in reason!
doesnt every product have its fall backs?(RQ)

Ha ha,
Play this majestic supersaw you're on about and then play a JP supersaw. You'll hear the difference

| Originally posted by dj_palm oh u dont understand what im talkin about. reason has limitations in its dynamic level no mather how good of a producer you are! thats why its so CPU eficient! i know very good reason is capable of making good tracks if the producer is good, but it will never be the super-clear, open-wide sound like your actualy present in the room that is was made in. just please post me some samples and ill shout up or ill comment on what exaclty im talkin about! btw reason tracks can be better with the magic master-stuff everyones talkin about. |

Looks, it's becoming a silly Reason bashing thread!
Despite emotions the facts are quite simple:
Reason is a wonderful creative tool and sequencer.
However you should NEVER do your final mixing inside of reason. Bounce all your tracks out, and mix them in ProTools/Cubase/Audition.
Because as you might have noticed, dynamic range in Reason is limited.
Don't limit yourself to one application to be creative, usually it takes more than just one-wonder-program to do the job!
Here's what I did the last time I made a track in Reason.
1. Sequence in Reason, use different samples than factory soundbank.
2. Mix in ProTools
3. Mastered in SoundForge
It sounded good to me.

anyway. glad you fixed your super saw problem. can this thread go bye bye now?

I think you've just proved you have no idea what you're talking about. ![]() Anyways, here's a supersaw patch I made in Reason using the combinator and the subtractor and malstrom synths. I think it sounds pretty decent. (FYI, I threw this together in 15 minutes) [[ LINK REMOVED ]] |

My penis is bigger than yours
Cubase has a better sound engine than Reason
I see a whole lot of similarity in thoose two sentences.

Let people use whatever they feel is fit for their work and quite the whine already...
Fine, if you don't like it don't use it but don't drag this discussion in here again, we've had it like a gazzilion times already and there's never a winner in it because no one can prove anything anyway...

I'm gonna post my patch again, it's a descent supersaw created with a few malstroms and one subtractor combined together
It's nothing compared to the real JP stuff but on the other hand, no VST has come really close to that warmth either so ^^

I so have to get myself a jp!
no software will ever be able to come close to that sound, never ever!
i think try using a scream 4 and put it as tube or tape with a damage setting of zero or your own taste, and use the 2 knobs p1 p2 i think!
turn p1 up also you dont get a digital sound, it will tame the sound a little and make it more of an anolouge sound.
super saw space organ
Finished my "super saw" type patch for reason. And I am no Reason expert.
It's about an hours worth of tweaking I started at 12:00
Anyway. Here are links:
