What are the hardest levels you've played (in any game)?
1. Doom 3 (X-Box) when you have to fight that huge demon in hell. I stil can't beat that SOB.
2. Half-Life 2 when there are several air-crafts hovering overhead and you have to shoot them down with laser-guided missles. This took me about 20 attempts and was was frustrating as hell!
Wow. That's a hard question considering the amount of games I've completed. Also, we're taking difficulty settings into consideration.
Hardest setting on Timesplitters 2 just about owns me in EVERY stage.
I can't really think of anything else at the moment.
I remember beating the final boss in Silent Hill 3 with a kitchen knife
Stick - Move - Stick - Move
Sort of like masturbating with a cheese-shredder
master system: r-type (side-scrolling shooter). fvcking impossible.
i think almost all modern games to be pretty easy in comparison to the days of yore. developers dont wanna piss people off with games that are too difficult. but, for PC, id nominate
ravenshield - no saves and trigger-happy terrorists. keep getting myself & hostages killed. frustrating as hell.
the reason doom 3 might be so hard is coz gamepads suck for shooters
FFIX :Ozma challenge, unfuckingposible.
KH2: Sephiroth in Proud Mode.
beat that.

oh man ultima 5... madness
used to love trying to kill town guards... when astaroth took over a town
yeah hated the underworld too, and the dungeon that was down there (not the ones that surface with the overworld... although trying to raid the dragon room in the bottom of destard was nuts when at low levels... but the loot!)
Tales of Phantasia. Moria Gallery lower levels. If i hadnt power leveled in the ninja village and bought the best equipment i could with the money i recieved from all those fights i would be properly fucked.
Its kind of obscure but the last level boss in Sinistron on the TG16. It was ridiculous.
Ninja Gaiden III
level 7 (or whatever the last level is) is a fucking bitch and a half
First Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - there was this crazy hard jump in the sewers and if you feel into it that turtle would die
Friday the 13th - I never got the pitchfork but I could kill his mother and get the torch.
Once 16-bit came around and save features were possible I never had trouble with a game.
I'd say hl2e1 the part with all those frcking zombies while you wait for the elevator. After dying like 5 times I had to take the difficulty down from hard to easy to beat it
Hive of the Mantids (Turok 2): Huge level, full of mo'fucking bugs, of any kind and size.
mario party 7 - bowser multiplayer levels. i always lose all my coins.

This is gonna sound stupid, but on the hard setting, God of War gave me enough trouble.
Also, I dunno if anyone remembers or has played it, but Einhander for the PS1 was fcuking hard.
h o l y f u c k sothis appears...
nothing else, video games can be hard|
ff6 - magic tower (made me give up the game.. so close!)
halo1 - legendary solo
(u can cheat Legendary by duo-ing, have one person run and kamikaze, the other person spawns. rinse + repeat til end!)

| Originally posted by sothis also, dungeon master (atari 1040st) is impossible once you get to that level where the magic using creatures are. fuck you, mummies! ![]() |

Dont know if this works, but in everyquest 1 level 55 right after first expansion was released too me two weeks to get through the level and that was with constant exp. They have since made the game much easier.
getting through Intelligent Qube without losing a row (regardless of score)

| Originally posted by Bega I guess it depends what level you fight sephiroth at, I thought he was pretty easy (yes, it was on proud). It really is a matter of just learning his attacks and aerial dodging. By no means the hardest boss ever. The one by beast's castle was annoying as fuck though. Ozma was pretty fucking hard, never beat it. Even so, I think the bosses in Devil May Cry 3 (non greatest hits), (Niven esp) are incredibly difficult. |
