Question Ableton - adjusting tempo in mix

Hi,
So learning ableton for playing. I've got a rotary encoder on my midi controller mapped to tempo and when I rotate it, the tempo changes by about 1.2 BPMs. I'm trying to mix from ableton to TTs and 1.2 is a lot. I don't know if the limitation is the controller or the software.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hope that helps you out. a knob wouldnt be the best way to adjust your pitch though. Fader would work out much better.

For example:
Pitch Range: 140 - 141 = Adjustments will be somewhere around .2
Pitch Range: 120 - 141 = Adjustments will be somewhere around .25

thanks for the response. I can't find that option, but don't have my midi right now so can't make assignments. I'll try again tomorrow.
my midi doesn't have faders, so the knob will have to do. the issue is when riding the pitch to keep up with the TT record, hopefully your answer helps enough.
Thanks again

Once you click on the BPM box on the top, the option for range should pop up on the bottom of Live!

Now that sucks. Isnt there a way to get better reso than .2?

Havent tried it but the only one that makes sense would be if your pitch range was 1.

Ex. Pitch Range: 140 - 141
